In August 2016, Gaurav Sharma started his YouTube career and published his first YouTube video titled “Delhi boy extreme kite…. how to fly a kite” on August 6. His first viral video was “GAFFAR MARKET[Explore, Sting operation- mobiles, gadgets ,new and second hand] DELHI,” the video is about how to buy mobile phones and watches at Gaffar Market in Delhi. Later, he started uploading daily vlogs, but his channel grew massively after he went to Dubai and explored the city life there.
YouTube has honored Gaurav Sharma with their Gold and Silver YouTube play buttons. Silver and Gold play buttons are sent as a token of appreciation for completing 1 Lakh and 10 Lakh customers respectively.

Controversy
- On October 31, 2017, Gaurav Sharma announced that he will quit his YouTube journey due to some personal issues, but only after eight days, that is, on November 8, 2017, Gaurav uploaded the video “Reason of my Comeback” and mentioned that he is continuing his journey only after the request of his fans. Once the video went viral, “Gaurav Chaudhary” aka Technical Guruji accused him that it was just a Click Bait technique to get customers to his account.
- Gaurav Sharma got into controversy with “Arun,” who runs the YouTube channel “Two Brothers.” According to Arun, he had given 1 Lakh rupees to Gaurav for promoting his YouTube channel, but later, Gaurav denied doing so and did not return the money.
- Gaurav Sharma released a video under the title ‘Flying Dollar with helium gas balloon’ on May 21, 2021. He tied his pet dog Dollar to a bunch of helium balloons and let the dog fly by itself. The video shows all the preparations done beforehand by Gaurav, and his mother also helps him complete the task. Once the video went viral, viewers started accusing him, and several complaints were filed against him. The video was released by Gaurav, and an apology video was published by him on 23 May 2021. Later, Gaurav was arrested by the local Police on charges of cruelty to animals under sections 188, 264, and 33 of the Animal cruelty act.
- On November 14, 2021, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested him for filming a video inside the “Nidhivan Raj” in Vrindavan, Mathura. Nidhivan Raj is considered a holy place, and it is believed that Radha and Lord Krishna play “raas lila” every night. Reportedly, after recording the alleged video on the night of November 6, 2021, he uploaded it on his YouTube channel on November 9, 2021 following a complaint registered at the Vrindavan police station by Nidhivan Raj priest Rohit Goshwami, and a case under section 295A of the IPC and section 66 of the Act An IT was registered against Sharma following his arrest by the police from his residence in Delhi.
