The Early Life of George Müller
He was offered to work with the Jews in England in 1828 through the London Missionary Society. In 1829, he fell ill and thought he would survive. After recovering, he devoted himself to doing God’s will. He left the London Missionary Society because he believed that God would help him to meet his needs while he was doing Christian work.
After that, George Muller became the pastor at Ebenezer Chapel. Soon after, he married for the first time. Serving in the church, he refused a fixed salary. He moved to Bristol in 1832 to begin work at the Bethesda Brethren Chapel.
In 1834, he founded the Institution for the Knowledge of Scriptures for Home and Abroad which intended to help Christian schools and missionaries and distribute bibles. The organization received and distributed 1.5 million pounds sterling at the time of his death because it received no government support and only accepted unsolicited gifts.

When he was 70 years old, he embarked on a 17-year missionary journey in 1875. During that time, George Muller preached in the United States, Australia, India, Japan, China, and about 40 other countries. He traveled more than 200 thousand miles.
Since he knew many languages, that is why he preached in French, English, and German. His sermons have been translated into more than a dozen other languages. In 1898, he died. At the time of his death, he was in England, where he returned in 1892.
