An Israeli-American woman who defended her kibbutz against a Hamas terrorist attack on October 7 was stabbed to death by a 16-year-old boy Monday.
Sgt. Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, 20, from Georgia was patrolling Jerusalem’s Old City with two other officers when she was attacked by the teenage assailant, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Lubin was seriously injured in the attack, later dying of his wounds.
A second officer suffered minor injuries, while a third fought the teenage assailant, who Israeli police said was a 16-year-old Palestinian resident of Sa’ir in East Jerusalem.
The next day, the Israel Defense Forces hunted down the teenage “terrorist” during a raid on a refugee camp – sparking clashes between the army and local Palestinians.
“The mapping was done in preparation to demolish the house of the terrorist who carried out the stabbing attack yesterday in Jerusalem,” The IDF said on X.

“During the activity, the suspect threw stones and threw Molotov cocktails at the team who responded by shooting, injuries were detected.”
The cutter was shot dead by another Border Police officer, according to Israeli newspapers.
During the night, the IDF reportedly arrested 28 wanted people, including 11 linked to Hamas, and destroyed an arsenal “containing gas cylinders and other materials intended for the preparation of explosives.”
The 16-year-old assailant attacked Lubin and a second officer, who suffered only minor injuries.

According to the Atlanta Jewish Times, Lubin lives in Dunwoody, a suburb north of Atlanta.
He immigrated to Israel from the US in August 2021 and joined the Israeli border police as part of his Army duty in March 2022.
Lubin was designated as a “lone soldier,” meaning he lived in Israel without his family.

He lives in Kibbutz Sa’ad in southern Israel, one of several places targeted by Hamas in its surprise attack last month.
The last video Lubin is said to have recorded shows him waving and smiling at the camera as he tells his family he loves them.
