Gerard Piqué did everything to hide his shame.
He can’t seem to resist the heat that Shakira brings in the song “BZRP Music Sessions #53”!
The recently retired FC Barcelona defender sat down for an interview with Spanish radio station, “El món a Racl.”
He was questioned about his former partner’s hit song, “BZRP Music Sessions #53,” his two children and his retirement from football.

When asked about his thoughts on Shakira’s insult, Piqué coyly avoided giving any solid answers.
In the interview, which was transcribed by El Pais, Piqué told Jordi Basté, “Obviously, I’ve heard the song. But I don’t want to talk about it because it’s neither here nor there.”
If you’re a Shakira fan or have followed their unpleasant breakup, then you know it’s full of shade directed at Piqué, his new GF and even his mother.
Some of the lyrics from the song read, “Sorry baby I should have dumped you earlier. A she-wolf like me is not for the novice. A she-wolf like me is not for a man like you. For men like you. I’m too good for you and that’s why you’re with someone like you.”

They continued, “I’m not going back with you, don’t cry for me, or plead with me. I understand that it is not my fault that they criticize you. I’m just making music, sorry it’s bothering you.”
Clearly, the song did NOT bother Piqué, as he refused to talk about it.
Later in the interview, the soccer player spoke about Shakira and himself parenting throughout their separation.
“People have a responsibility, especially those with children, to protect our children. I don’t want to say anything more about it, because everyone makes good and bad decisions, and I don’t want to talk about that topic anymore. I think in the end what is most important is that my children are fine,” he said.

In a recent interview with Enrique Acevedo for “Canal de las Estrellas,” Shakira explained that her focus is solely on her two children and being a “lioness” for them.
Shakira Has Come Out Stronger, Better & Hotter
“The strength comes from experiencing a painful loss, accepting it, tolerating disappointment, understanding that life doesn’t always bring us what we want,” he explained. “There are dreams that are destroyed, and you have to pick up the little pieces from the ground and put yourself back together and also be an example to my children.”
Shakira and Piqué ended their bitter custody battle late last year, and she is moving her two sons to Miami, FL. with him on April 1.
The Colombian native doesn’t mince his words about his cheating ex and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira admitted to Acevedo that she has learned a LOT since breaking up with her partner of almost 12 years.
Since the breakup, she realized she could be completely “independent” after accepting “the story that a woman needs a man to be complete. I was always emotionally dependent on the man I fell in love with, and I thought I could understand that story from another perspective, and today I am quite alone.”
Shakira continued, “There’s a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women.”
You may remember that the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer found Piqué cheating (allegedly with Marti) on her from an opened jam jar.
