Taking to Instagram, Posso wrote an emotional piece that appeared to clear Davis of the previous battery allegations that led to his arrest on Tuesday, December 27.

He explicitly stated that, contrary to reports, the boxer did not inflict injury on himself or their daughter.

“The last few days have been painful and very exhausting for all parties involved,” Posso wrote in his Instagram story, per Boxing Scene. “I pride myself on being very private; this situation is the last thing I want to make public.”

Her post confirms that she did have an argument with Davis, but it’s not enough reason to get legal authorities involved.

Posso’s withdrawal came after Davis was arrested in Parkland, Florida, and charged with “causing bodily harm”.

As reported by ExplosionHe was taken into custody after a 911 call made by Posso from his residence requesting the presence of authorities because his life was allegedly in danger.

According to the publication, the police report alleges that Davis hit Posso “on the right side of his head with a closed-hand type of blow,” which led to a visible cut on his “upper lip on the right side of his mouth.”

Broward County court records also reveal that Posso obtained legal representation for himself after Davis was charged. The boxer was first arrested in Fort Lauderdale and released after posting a $1,000 bond.

‘Don’t Let This Person Mislead You All’

After his release, Davis immediately contested the allegations that he assaulted the mother of his daughter.

“Don’t let these people mislead you all about this bullshit,” Davis said in a since-deleted Instagram post Wednesday, per Boxing Scene.

In the post, she shared a photo of herself watching the animated movie “Frozen” with her daughter just before police responded to the 911 call.

He added, “This was just yesterday [Tuesday], a few moments before me and my mother’s daughter had a fight! Watching Frozen with my oldest daughter. I have never laid my hands on the mother of my child nor my daughter. Are you crazy!! I am (sic) not a monster. I was silent for too long.

Although he denies that he attacked Posso or his daughter, this is not the first time the WBA lightweight champion has found himself in a similar situation.

The famous boxer found himself on the wrong side of the law in 2020 after a video showed him violently grabbing his ex-girlfriend. The incident happened when the former couple watched a basketball game for charity organized by the University of Miami.

Days after the video went viral on Twitter, Davis turned himself in to police. He was later charged with simple assault and domestic abuse. Although Davis denied hitting his girlfriend, police reports at the time said he suffered injuries to his lip and jaw.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old is scheduled to face Luis Garcia on January 7. It is not yet known how his arrest will affect the upcoming battle, which is scheduled to take place in Washington.
