Ghislaine Maxwell is upset that one woman — herself — is the only person who appears to be facing consequences in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking scandal, her lawyer said as a batch of new documents about the nefarious scheme were released Wednesday.
“I don’t think he has anything to talk about except maybe if you look at this crime, this whole crime, it’s about men abusing women for a long period of time… and it’s just one person in prison — a woman,” Attorney Maxwell, Arthur Aidala, told NewsNation on Tuesday.
Maxwell, 62, is serving a 20-year sentence on a federal sex-trafficking conviction for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein – who killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019, before he could stand trial.
While Maxwell appeared to believe others should be prosecuted for their alleged links to Epstein’s sick scheme, he did not want to comment on the release of long-sealed documents containing the names of 170 people linked to the financier, his lawyer said.
She had “nothing to say” other than expressing her anger that only one woman faced justice for crimes against women, Aidala told the outlet.
The court documents – containing the names of people previously known only as John and Jane Does – stem from a 2015 lawsuit by Epstein’s accuser Virginia Giuffre, who alleges Maxwell facilitated her sexual abuse.

While many of the people identified in the documents are expected to be previously known to be linked to Epstein – including former President Bill Clinton and the UK’s Prince Andrew – the files have the potential to reveal explosive and incriminating new details.
A Manhattan federal judge ruled last month that the file could be made public.
“Ghislaine Maxwell has not taken a position on the Court’s recent decision to unseal documents in Giuffre v. Maxwell because this disclosure has nothing to do with her pending appeal,” Aidala and another of Maxwell’s lawyers, Diana Fabi Samson, said in a statement to The Post Wednesday.

“Ghislaine’s focus is on the upcoming appeal arguments asking for her entire case to be dismissed. He is confident of getting justice at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals,” the statement said. “He has consistently and vigorously maintained his innocence.”
