GoFundMe has an answer for those asking if Donald Trump’s fundraising on their site is against their policy.
The page has so far raised over $500k since launching to help the billionaire pay off a $355 million fine from his attempted fraud in New York.
GoFundMe Says ‘Fundraising Is Currently Within Our Terms of Service’

After Trump was slapped with a $355 million fine for fraudulently inflating his assets in financial documents by a New York court, MAGA supporters began fundraising through GoFundMe to offset the fine for the billionaire billionaire.
The page, launched by Elena Cardone, wife of real estate mogul Grant Cardone, has raised more than $500,000 and counting. However, several individuals took to social media to contact GoFundMe, saying the fundraiser violated their policies. Some even put screenshots of the company’s terms of service in an attempt to draw their attention to their complaints.
In response to the statement, Jalen Drummond, director of public affairs at the company, told news week, “This fundraiser is currently in our terms of service.”
This means that fundraising will be allowed to continue, allowing more MAGA supporters to raise their funds for the embattled billionaire and business mogul.
Experts Claim Donald Trump’s GoFundMe Won’t Cover Fine Interest
MEGA
Despite how great the fundraiser was, one expert labeled it a futile effort, saying it wouldn’t pay the interest on the fine.
“It is remarkable that it has raised less than $0.5 million in three days. That won’t cover the interest he owes,” University of Surrey American politics lecturer Dr Mark Shanahan told the news outlet in an interview.
He added, “Even if any decision on whether he has to pay could be held up in the appeals process if Trump’s lawyers could find enough reason to persuade the judiciary to send his case back to court—absolutely not a given—he would still have to deposit much of what he owed in escrow. He needs more than a loyal MAGA to satisfy the lawsuit.”
Trump is expected to pay a nine percent interest rate on the total damages as mandated by the state of New York. Additionally, according to a pre-trial ruling in the case, the fine “will continue to increase daily” until Trump complies.
Donald Trump Slams Judges And Prosecutors After Expensive Verdict

Following the verdict, Trump used his Truth social media to lash out at Arthur Engoron, the judge in the case, and Letitia James, the New York Attorney General. He called Engoron “crooked” and described James as “corrupt.”
He also said that the decision was an “un-American judgment on” him, his family, and his “big business,” adding that “the radicals are doing everything they can to kick” him.
In a separate post, he went on to claim that the results were a case of “election interference” and a “witch hunt.”
Trump wasn’t the only one who felt this way, as MAGA supporters also took to social media to call out Engoron and James.
“Letitia James is weaponizing her Office and working with Bidens WhiteHouse to ensure Democratic Activist Judge Erdogan weaponizes the Court System,” one person said.
“There are no victims. No crime. It would take a truly spinning Tooth Fairy economy to imagine a case like this,” commented another.
Another MAGA fan wrote, “The case, trial and judgment against Trump that resulted from it is nonsense. Complete lie!”
Donald Trump Will Appear In Court For Stormy Daniels Trial

Trump has indicated that he will appeal the decision, meaning that fine payments will likely be halted until the appeal is completed.
Meanwhile, he is scheduled to be in court next month for allegedly paying hush money to two women, former Playboy model Karen McDougal and adult film star Stormy Daniels, during his 2016 presidential campaign.
The Stormy Daniels trial aims to determine whether the former president can remain on the ballot for the 2024 presidential election.

Prosecutors previously said they suspected Trump of withholding accurate information from voters by falsifying documents to hide the payments, which is against election law.
However, legal experts claim the presidential candidate will not deny that he hid the payments. Instead, Trump argued that the purpose was to hide the affair from his wife, Melania, rather than as a preventative measure to prevent his opponents from using the information to discredit him.
