Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) on Tuesday demanded that the Georgia State Bar begin an investigation into alleged “inappropriate sexual relations” between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
The Florida Republican argued that the report was “potentially criminal action” that resulted from the alleged affair between Willis and Wade – an Atlanta-area private attorney who was tapped by the DA in November 2021 to be the special prosecutor in his election interference case against former President Donald Trump — search warrant.
“Reports of an ongoing affair and inappropriate sexual relationship between District Attorney Willis and Special Prosecutor Wade have been widely reported by the public media. If true, this would not only be highly inappropriate for supervisors and subordinates to have such an intimate relationship, but it would also create potential violations of bias, conflicts of interest, and potential bribery,” Mills wrote in a letter to the State Bar of Georgia.

The lawmaker went on to argue that Wade “does not meet the criteria to prosecute a criminal case” and had never prosecuted a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) charge before being appointed lead prosecutor in Trump’s Georgia RICO case by his “alleged mistress.”
A bombshell motion filed last week by Michael Roman — one of Trump’s co-defendants in the sprawling Willis election meddling case — accuses co-prosecutors of “clandestine” ties and claims that Wade paid for luxury vacations with the DA to Florida, Napa Valley and the Caribbean , using legal fees he was reimbursed by Fulton County for his work on the former president’s case.
Wade’s reimbursement records, attached to Roman’s filing, also show that the special prosecutor billed Fulton County $4,000 for two eight-hour meetings with White House officials while he was working on the Trump case.

“I am hard-pressed to see this as anything but a direct conflict of interest and politically motivated interference, potentially colluding with the Biden White House, with the ongoing investigation into Biden’s leading political opponent for the Oval Office,” Mills wrote.
The lawmaker also alleged that Willis used taxpayer money earmarked to clear a backlog of cases caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to hire Wade — and paid him “78.57% more than other attorneys appointed to the case.”
“That represents an exorbitant salary for someone who appears to have no experience in trying RICO cases,” Mills said. “Again, there is an obvious and compelling conclusion to be drawn from this, if proven true: Wade was overpaid because of his sexual relationship with the DA.”
Inside tweetsMills blasted Willis’ alleged “corrupt and unethical practices, conflicts of interest and potential collusion with Joe Biden” and said a state bar investigation should result in Willis’ “impeachment and disbarment.”
“Georgia, the taxpayers, and President Donald Trump deserve more than this circus of corruption and kangaroo courts,” he added. “This is a direct attack on justice.”
Roman, a former Trump 2020 campaign official, argued that Willis should be disqualified from the case and the charges against him dropped because of his alleged involvement with Wade.
