Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ Back Calling Out Nasty Owners

It’s been almost ten years, but Gordon Ramsay was called to put down a new generation of unsanitary restaurant owners.

Back in 2004, the sharp-tongued British native hit the airwaves via Fox with A kitchen nightmare, where he will go behind the scenes of local restaurants and help them to improve their business.

The show ran for seven seasons ending in 2014. According to Deadline, it’s making a comeback. The show will be under Fox again, along with all of Ramsay’s other American shows but also co-produced by his production company Studio Ramsay.

The show started in the UK with ITV and moved across the pond a few years later. The show’s premise follows Ramsay as he spends a week with a restaurant and tries to help the struggling business.

He turns the place around and offers surprising critiques and confrontations that are often funny because they are 100% true. Plus, Ramsay is a master at throwing shade at people, and who doesn’t love seeing a little shade thrown at dinner?

One of the highlights of the show is watching the father of five go into the pantries, refrigerators and kitchens of some of these establishments and be shocked by the rough care or lack thereof.

Molded food, all kinds of smells, lazy cooks, frozen “fresh” food, pastry shops with erratic owners. The show has it all; if you’re not a foodie, you can watch Ramsay scream his head off after finding out he ate food from a rancid kitchen.

The comedic side of the show usually features the celebrity chef running to the trash can to regurgitate what he realizes are slimy old clams, moldy mashed potatoes, and garnishes that are basically collecting bacteria among all the raw meat containers in the refrigerator.

Gordon Ramsay Is Not Ready To Go

Initially, when the show ended, Ramsay shared the sad news on his Instagram. “I’ve had an incredible ten years making 123 episodes, 12 seasons, filmed on two continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries,” Ramsay continued. ‘It was a blast, but it’s time to call it a day.”

He continued. “During this time, I’ve visited over 100 restaurants, met and tried to help — or in some cases, failed to help — some of the strangest and most wonderful people.”

Ramsay tried to create a show similar to this so-called 24 Hours to Hell and Back. It was a huge success and ran for three seasons, but nothing beats Kitchen Nightmares.

The energy of the show hits differently. Watching Ramsay give fans a look into the kitchen and what some potential diners might experience has been a treat for fans as viewers never struggle; Ramsay just has too many other shows going on at one time.

There’s no exact release date yet, but it’ll be fun to see famous chefs transform some of these restaurants once again!
