Deadline reports that Fox has decided to renew “Next Level Chef” for two more seasons just hours before the two-hour season finale that aired earlier this week. Season 2 of Ramsay’s latest cooking competition premiered right after this year’s Super Bowl and drew 16.9 million viewers.

While shows like “Hell’s Kitchen” featured Ramsay alone in the kitchen, this time, he teamed up with stars Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais to make sure all the chefs had expert help while preparing their food for the final round of judging. The stage is set three stories high, with each story featuring a different level of difficulty.

The first season was filmed in Las Vegas while the second season was filmed in the UK. The first two seasons were produced by Studio Ramsay and Fox Alternative Entertainment. For seasons 3 and 4, Studio Ramsay will still produce for Fox joint venture Studio Ramsay Global, but BiggerStage will also step in to produce. Seasons 3 and 4 will also be filmed in Ireland. Gordon Ramsay and Matt Cahoon will still serve as executive producers of the show.

Allison Wallach, President of Unscripted Programming at Fox Entertainment, released a statement saying, “Bringing on two more Next Level Chef orders was an easy decision after an incredible second season, fueled by its historic debut after the Super Bowl.” He went on to say, “Gordon has orchestrated a series that requires a lot of skill and creativity in a three-tiered pressure cooker, delivering high stakes, high drama and some of the most innovative cooking I’ve ever seen.”

Ramsay also released a statement regarding the show’s renewal, saying, “I’m thrilled that we’re bringing two more seasons of Next Level Chef to Fox. It’s a culinary challenge of a cooking competition show and we’re excited to keep raising the bar.”

In a January 2022 interview with Thrillist, the “Masterchef” judge revealed her inspiration for the show, saying, “I think I gave birth to this show during the pandemic.”

“I had this crazy idea,” he continued. “My career started in the basement. And when I won my third Michelin star, I reached the highest—but I still have cuts of fish and meat that I still feature on my menu in honor of starting from the bottom, from braised oxtail. to unglamorous mackerel like tuna.”

“So, three kitchens stacked on top of each other, three extraordinary mentors,” he added. “And then there was a spark when we put social media chefs together with professional chefs—watching them argy-bargy in the kitchen, it was amazing.”

He also compared “Next Level Chef” to its predecessor, saying, “I’m not going to be satisfied, but what I’m going to do is be creative and take all the elements of ‘Kitchen Nightmare,’ ‘Hell Hotel,’ 24 Hours to Hell and Back ‘, and then I looked at the food scene in terms of how much we value good food more, and how much money we don’t have today to cook.”

Gordon Ramsay Determined To Continue Running ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ For Years To Come

The celebrity chef also revealed that he has no plans to shut down “Hell’s Kitchen” for the foreseeable future. “I love Hell’s kitchen. I run a restaurant, Fox runs the show, and I keep it as comfortable as possible. And we start recording again early next year, and I’d love for you to come down and have dinner, because of the booking full. The door opens, the guests sit down, and I run the restaurant,” he explained.

“And I think that’s why it works, because these chefs are competing for amazing positions. They got a great platform. Can you imagine me at the age of 25 being given the opportunity to cook in a competition for a quarter of a million dollars?” he asked. “I can barely make $2,000 a month at their age. My salary couldn’t cover my rent, causing me to be kicked in that upper class kitchen. So, I think it’s a tremendous platform for these kids to rise from.”

“Can I continue? I started getting involved in this business in my early 40’s. And then, how do I repeat the time to be super strong and fit? I started taking up triathlons and I did my first Ironman at the age of 43 in Hawaii. So now at 55, I’m fit as a violinist. And I can go for another 30 seasons. Trust me,” he teased. “You haven’t seen the end of me. Don’t underestimating the authority of parents.”
