Gori Nagori is an Indian dancer popularly known as Rajasthani and Haryanvi Shakira in India. He is one of the contestants of the Indian reality show Bigg Boss Season 16 in October 2022. The show airs on Colors channel.

Gori Nagori was born Taslima Bano on Thursday, 11 June 1998 (age 24 years; in 2022) in Nagaur, Rajasthan, India. His real name is Gori Malik. His zodiac sign is Gemini. He completed his school education at Ghotiya Higher Secondary School, Nagaur, Rajasthan. Later, he pursued his undergraduate studies at Jai Narayan Vyas University, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. According to Gori Nagori, she loved dancing since childhood and started practicing dancing while watching it on television. In a media interview, she revealed that her family opposed her decision to become a dancer and used to scold, abuse, and lock her in a room so that she could not learn to dance. He added in the same discussion that people around him started telling him that his dancing was vulgar and showed his bad character. He remembered,
My family is dead against me dancing and even people around us tell me how rude it is, and it shows my bad character. However, I never took any criticism seriously and thus went ahead with my plans. I started getting small gigs, which soon became big. I always go against people’s perception of entertainers.”
While studying in class 8, he performed in his school’s cultural program, and the program was attended by his father. She won a dance competition, and her teachers praised her for her performance. From then on, her father started to support her, however, her mother did not like her dancing. However, she continued practicing dance steps at home and started performing at local dance shows on many popular Rajasthani and Haryanvi songs. Gradually, he received great popularity in both states.

Career
On 22 September 2018, Gori Nagori danced to the superhit Rajasthani song titled Le Photo Le,” sung by Rajasthani singer Nilu Rangili. Soon after the song’s release, the song’s video earned over 120 million within a week. Later, Gori Nagori appeared in many popular Rajasthani and Haryanvi songs including Mahre Gaam Ka Pani (2021), Teri Meri Baat Bigad Jayegi (2021), Balma (2021), Saint (2020), Ganderi (2020), Chuni Gotedaar (2022), and Lahariyo (2022).
Gori Nagori is known for her daring dance performances in her shows. In 2017, Rajasthan University student union invited Gori Nagori as a guest dancer for the inaugural event. Mahant Salasar Dham and parents of students were present to attend the function held in the college. At the end of the show, Goti Nagori gave a daring dance performance at the show, which left the parents and the Mahant bowing in shame.
In 2019, his song ‘Ghagharo’ got 16 million views on YouTube within a day. He broke the world record with it which was previously held by Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. In 2022, Gori Nagori participated in the Indian reality show Bigg Boss Season 16 as a contestant. She was seen wearing a hijab in the Bigg Boss house.

- In 2010, after the death of her father, she suffered from depression and took a break from dancing.
- According to Gori Nagori, during his childhood, he was influenced by Shakira, a Colombian dancer and used to watch Shakira’s songs and dance moves on television. Gori Nagori started practicing the same moves as Shakira and started imitating her. Later, Gori Nagori started dancing like Shakira in her dance show. Since then, her dance style has often been compared to that of Colombian singer Shakira. I will name many people. I have watched many seasons and in the last season I really liked Rakhi Sawant. Earlier, I liked Shahnaz Gill, ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ actress Shilpa Shinde. Hina Khan and Manveer Gurjar are also my favourites.”

- On October 3, 2022, in an interview with a media house, Gori Nagori told that in most of the Indian society, female dancers are looked down upon many times. In the same conversation, he added that the word dancer was considered bad and disgusting. Gori Nagori explains,
Dancers are still looked down upon in society and words of dancers are considered bad and disgusting things are said to them. I would get calls from people asking how he became a dancer despite being a ‘muslim’.”
