Neal Bledsoe was so disgusted by Candace Cameron Bure’s comments about traditional families that he quit working with the GAF network.

The actor starred in films like Winter Palace and Christmas at the Drive-Intwo fan favorites for the channel are not attractive moving forward after Bure admitted she joined the channel for their family’s Christian faith.
“I hope GAF will change, but until everyone can be represented in their films with pride, my choice is clear. I look forward to working with creators who don’t limit the stories we tell and follow their values message with open arms,” the actor said exclusively to Diversity.
Bledsoe was surprised when Bure said, that GAF will not feature same-sex couples. Instead, the focus will be on “traditional marriage.”

“My life would not be what it is today without the love, support and guidance of the LGBTQIA+ community. From my mentors in college to the myriad of agents and managers, writers and directors, teachers and colleagues, and, of course, dear friends and family, all of whom have touched my life, I owe them a great deal,” he admits.
He went on to share that the community was always there for him growing up as a young man and really doesn’t know where he would be if the people in the community hadn’t stepped up.
“If I cannot stand up for the community in their time of need, my debt to them is meaningless. So, I want to make it very clear: my support for the LGBTQIA+ community is unconditional – nothing that matches my silence or their ability to live and love freely in the world we are lucky enough to share with them.”

Although he maintains his own religious values, he never takes advantage of them to degrade others and this, to him, looks like what Bure did. He refused to be behind her.
“Freedom of speech or religion, or even freedom to express beliefs that I may strongly disagree with, is not an issue here. It’s about someone in an executive position talking about deliberate exclusion on behalf of the entire network.”
He also slammed Bure for his incomparable choice of words. “This is why the phrase “traditional marriage” is as repulsive as it is confusing. Not only is it morally wrong, it’s also debatable, when you consider that most romantic films do not feature married couples at all, nor marriage, but only people who meet and fall in love.”

The actor has always been proud of his Christian values but perhaps this time he has gone too far. Fellow celebrities went out of their way to call Bure out for what she said and it wasn’t pretty.
Hilarie Burton called the actor “a bigot” and went on to remind him that his savior doesn’t care much for judgmental people. JoJo Siwa also called Bure out in a video posted to social media that she’s basically had enough of him.
In a possible trickle-down effect, Bure’s brother, former actor Kirk Cameron was recently barred from promoting his book in US public libraries. Most libraries reject it and explain it is because they use their space and time slots for “more diverse” speakers.
