On the latest episode of “The Bachelor,” lead Zach Shallcross tested positive for COVID-19, meaning he had to hold his cocktail party virtually because he couldn’t be in close contact with anyone.
During Zoom’s cocktail party, Greer Blizter, one of the women still fighting for Shallcross’s heart, spoke to him via iPad about where she was growing up when she contracted COVID-19 and how it affected her work.
“I had COVID at the end of the quarter during the end of the year, so it messed up my career in sales,” Blitzer, who works in sales, told Shallcross during their one-on-one via Zoom. “I know how it feels to lose something.”
Shallcross, however, took this as offensive, responding with “I think my loss of finding a wife is a little more important than your little sales problem.”
Blizter tried to explain how he didn’t mean any harm by what he said, just trying to relate and understand how he was feeling right now, but Shallcross didn’t seem to want to hear his explanation. The conversation did not end well, and Blizter thought he would be sent home, however, Shallcross gave Blitzer a rose at the ceremony, keeping him at least one more week.

A sales rep from Texas took to Instagram after the episode aired on ABC, and after viewers watched how Shallcross handled Blitzer’s comments. Blitzer seemed to throw shade at Shallcross and how he handled the conversation.
She posted a selfie, using the caption, “Women who care about their careers are hot.”
Although nothing has been confirmed, the words are clearly related to what happened on the latest episode of the reality television show as many felt Shallcross “minimized” Blitzer’s job and situation.

Fans immediately took to the comments section of Blitzer’s post, defending him.
“My heart broke for you when he minimized your experience. That was inappropriate and I hope you accept an apology,” one fan wrote while another chimed in, “? you’re a queen & you didn’t deserve to feel the way you did then. NEVER apologize for being you.”
One of Blitzer’s fans commented on the post, “It’s disgusting to watch. He should have NEVER made you feel that way. You are a boss woman!! ?.”
Another fan hopes Shallcross doesn’t choose Blitzer in the end because they say he deserves better. “You dodged a bullet with Zach- you can do better than him. He’s a cheesy, annoying, pretentious, kinda gay, tool. Hope you find the man of your dreams!,” they commented.
While another wants to see her as the next lead on “The Bachelorette” as they wrote, “Women who care about their careers make great Bachelors ??.”
And lastly, one of his followers wrote, “I’m glad you know your worth and are proud of your career. You don’t deserve to be belittled and dismissed like that. You’re just trying to empathize.”
