“My Texan friend! Petitions can feel useless but I guarantee local politicians take this matter seriously,” he pleaded. “Please sign to reduce the cost of housing in Austin. There are effective laws on the table here but we need public support.”

One of his followers immediately commented with a backlash.
“Your dirt is set, your opinion about the ‘housing market’ is invalid,” they replied.
Not one to back down, the mother of two shot back.
“First of all I couldn’t afford to buy my kids a decent house in Austin atm without help from their CRAZY dad because I’m a successful artist. Second, this is not my opinion, I just agreed to help some real experts/policy makers,” explained Grimes. “Excessive regulation in Cali is anti-innovation. Tx is a pro innovation, (they let you blow up rockets for example haha). But if we want to move us. Most innovative companies to Tx we owe it to the people to protect their Standard of living.”

The Twitter user then replied, “That’s what I mean, their father will help solve it. You are ready.”
“I’m not worried about me, I’m worried about the people of Austin,” Grimes continued. “I use myself as an example of the extreme wealth required to live comfortably here that was not the case in the past.”

If you’re wondering what he means by “mission,” he explained it in another tweet.
“The PS ‘Mission’ is sustainable energy, making humanity a multiplanetary species and the preservation of consciousness,” Grimes wrote.
The so-called couple initially called it quits in September 2021 after dating for three years.

Grimes also shared that she and Musk “live in separate houses” and that they are “good friends.”
He continued, “We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing, and I don’t expect anyone else to understand that.”
As for whether they’re happy, Grimes said, “This is the best ever…. We just need to be free.”
She also said that she and the tech billionaire are looking to expand their family, saying, “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”
