That’s what happened to a group of lucky kids swimming at a resort pool in Hawaii. They got the chance of a lifetime to “save” the great NBA from “drowning” and now have a story to tell anyone and everyone about their fun adventure.

During a recent trip to Hawaii, O’Neal saw an opportunity to have fun while giving a group of kids a story they might tell for the rest of their lives.
While visiting a swimming pool at a resort, O’Neal joined the group of about 10 children and pretended to drown. He said, “I’m drowning” as he slowly fell into the water and the children scrambled to lift the big man out of the water and bring him to safety. At the same time there is laughter, jokes, and even a child taking a video or photo while walking past the scene in the water.

The video was taken and shared on TikTok by a man named Dan who happened to be in the right place at the right time. He captioned the video, “Shaq is a great guy.”
His videos have received more than 1 million views on TikTok and have been shared across the internet time and time again.
“Casual hangin wit shaq crazy ?,” one follower wrote in a comment. Dan replied, “He was at our hotel for a week and I even got to take a picture with him.”
Another follower wrote, “Core memory for these kids fs,” to which Dan replied, “They’re going to be the coolest kids in school right now.”
Dan also revealed in the comments that Shaq was on the island “playing shows” and “living the life.” He also said, “He lets a lot of kids on stage as well while he’s performing.”

“Shaq is just doing a side mission man LMAO,” wrote one in the comments. “Honestly iconic that he’s out there playing with kids,” added another.

“Let me tell you how the video came about,” he began. “I was just relaxing, relaxing, minding my own business in the pool and all of a sudden I saw this whole group of people swarming around this area.”

That’s when Dan went to see what was going on and saw the NBA legend interacting with the kids. And had to make a decision, capture this pleasure on film or just enjoy this moment. He chose to record it, which the internet obviously loved.
“This man is real now. He’s a cool guy. I’m sure people will like to see this side of him,” he continued. “And I recorded it and you guys changed my life.”
