Gursharanjot Randhawa, popularly known as Guru Randhawa, is a Punjabi pop singer and songwriter. He became famous with his song ‘High Rated Gabru.’

Guru Randhawa was born on Friday, 30 August 1991 (age 29 years; as of 2020) in Noorpur, Gurdaspur District, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Virgo.
She aspired to be a singer since childhood and often participated in various singing competitions during her school days. At first, he learned music by watching popular singers on television. Although he had a deep interest in music, he gave his first priority to his education. He completed his Masters in Business Administration from IIPM (Indian Institute of Planning and Management) New Delhi. After completing his studies, Guru began his career in the field of music by giving stage performances at various events.

Career
Guru Randhawa started his career as a singer and songwriter in 2012 with the song “Same Girl.” Next, he released the song “Chhad Gayi,” which was loved by the audience. Guru has sung many Punjabi hits including “Patola,” “Fashion,” “Gabri Berkadar Tinggi,” “Yaar Mod Do” and “Suit.” His debut album was “Page One.”
In 2017, she made her Bollywood debut in the Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium;’ the song is a remake of his song ‘Suit.’
In 2017, he also appeared in ‘T-Series Mix Tape’ with singer Kanika Kapoor; where they recorded the combination of ‘Ambarsariya’ and ‘Suit,’ together.
He performed at the opening ceremony of IPL 2017.
In April 2019, he released the song “Slowly Slowly” in collaboration with American rapper Pitbull. The song has lyrics in Punjabi, English and Spanish.
Guru has also been featured on the cover of magazines such as Man’s World Magazine and TMM Magazine.
She has walked the ramp for fashion designer, Nivedita Saboo, in Times Fashion Week.

Controversy
On 21 December 2020, Randhawa was arrested after a raid by the Mumbai police at a club in Mumbai. Cricketer Suresh Raina, Hrithik Roshan’s wife Sussanne Khan, and seven staff members of the club were also detained by the police for violating the COVID-19 norms. Later, they were all granted bail. While saying that the incident was not intentional, Randhawa then released a statement that read,
Guru Randhawa, who had gone out for dinner with close friends before returning to Delhi the same morning, was deeply upset by the unfortunate incident that took place last night. Unfortunately, he did not know the decision of the local authorities regarding the night curfew but immediately obeyed all the rules set by the government officials. He promised to compile government guidelines and protocols by taking all precautions in the future. So far, he has been a law-abiding citizen and will continue to do so in the future as well.”

- On July 28, 2019, when Guru was performing live at the Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver, Canada, an unknown man attacked the singer on his head. The singer returned to India with four stitches in his head. After returning to India, his management team clarified the entire issue through an Instagram post.
