Gwen Stefani has returned to “The Voice” but not without a sweet tribute that got fans talking!
As the iconic singing show kicks off its 24th season, there is a notable absence from the coaching lineup that fans have become accustomed to — Blake Shelton. However, his wife made it her personal mission to remind fans that the “God Gave Me You” singer will be missed.
Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Tribute To Blake Shelton Will Make Your Heart Sing
“What Are You Waiting For?” singer returned to the singing competition after her husband’s departure at the end of season 23 earlier this year. In the post shared by the mother-of-three, she wore a flawless black-and-white plaid ensemble consisting of a long-sleeved jacket over a crop top and matching pants with a matching bow on her high ponytail.
However, what stands out the most is her signature jewelry. For the season 24 premiere, the “Wind It Up” artist proudly wore her cherished “Shelton” and “Stefani” necklaces, a deeply touching tribute to her husband of two years.
Sitting under the stunning lights, ready to witness the first Blind Audition of the new season on “The Voice”, the jewelry shines and sparkles as it rests comfortably around her neck. Radiating style, her glam look featured light pink glossy lips, blush, nude eyeshadow and perfectly drawn brows.

Alongside the photo, she wrote in the caption, “feels good 2 b back in @nbcthevoice chair ? #thevoice #teamgwen.” As expected, his fans received the comments with praise. “That dress is ? and you look so beautiful in it. Go girl,” said one admirer while another stated that they “Love your outfit!!!”
Some called her “queen,” “beautiful,” and “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL EVER,” while others excitedly wrote, “MOTHERS BAAAAACK,” and “Wow That’s Awesome ??.” At the same time, these fans enthusiastically supported her, stating, “Get that crown queen ???❤️.”
While it wasn’t Stefani’s jewelry debut on the show, it was the first time she wore it without Shelton by her side. Meanwhile, Reba McEntire has stepped into Shelton’s seat for her debut season as coach.
The country music legend, who previously served as a battle advisor in season 1 and as a mega mentor in the recently concluded one, will join Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend.
It should be noted that the actress revealed in 2020 that she was approached to be a coach on the inaugural season of “The Voice.” Unfortunately, she declined the offer, paving the way for Shelton to step into her shoes. The 68-year-old has explained his decision, stating:
“It was the best show in Holland, I’m pretty sure, and I watched the tape, and I said, ‘No, I’m going to continue,’ because I didn’t think I could do it. being able to tell someone they are bad or go find another job or hope you like your night job. I can’t do that day in and day out. I couldn’t do it. So I went ahead with it.”
But, after witnessing the show’s huge success, the “Consider Me Gone” hitmaker later admitted that she regretted her choice.
Great Start To ‘The Voice’ Season 24
As anticipation soared for the 2023 Fall Season, it certainly delivered as it roared with a dazzling two-hour premiere. Among the great line-up of participants, one artist stands out as a real “magic gem” – Mara Justine from Galloway, New Jersey.
Per NBC, his performance was incredible, leaving an unforgettable impression on the season opener. Despite getting the coveted 4-seat turn depending on song choice and vocal talent, the 21-year-old got both right when her rendition of Elton John’s “Goodbye Brick Road” captivated the audience from the first note.
Infusing the song with her unique touch, she immediately caught the judges’ attention as she sang the first lyrics, prompting Stefani and Legen to waste no time hitting their buzzer quickly.
After another row, McEntire couldn’t hold on and turned away as well. However, there was one more – Horan – and he barely even waited until the song was over before giving up. The former “One Direction” member, fresh off her success with Gina Miles in Season 23, ensured Justine got the coveted 4-seat turn.
After the audition, Legend spoke about his performance, “The thing that turned me around so quickly was your tone at the bottom of the song. Then you have the skills to do that very light touch. I want you to join Team Legend.”
In expressing his desire for her to join him, the father of four insists that he is the first judge to switch. Referring to his other colleagues, “They don’t have the foresight that I have in understanding how magical you are as a vocalist.”
At the same time, Horan remarked in awe, “God, they made them different in Jersey. Someone who’s willing to go to the first round with an Elton John song and sing it like that, takes something.”
The 30-year-old then speculated on a potential performance from Justine, suggesting, “If this is where you’ve set the bar, what are we going to see from you? America will fall in love with that voice.”
