Clips of Paltrow’s appearance on the aforementioned podcast began circulating after the podcast’s company, Dear Media, posted a snippet of her interview.

Many TikTokers recorded their reactions to the viral clip, in addition to pointing out the potential dangers of Paltrow’s diet and exercise routine.
A TikTok user who revealed he is a therapist for disordered eating shared his belief that “It is illegal to spread it to the media.” He continued, “Because people like Gwyneth Paltrow have a huge following and a huge platform that really influences impressionable and vulnerable young and older people. People who start out with little health and end up with severe eating disorders…”
TikToker user @abbeyskitchen responded, “What I heard was that he ate nothing for breakfast, just black coffee until noon, then had bone broth for lunch that contained 40 calories per cup, then worked out for an hour… . “
She went on to share “An 18-hour fasting window is often too long for a healthy woman to help support normal reproductive function.” She then points out how Paltrow has profited from the media and detox-related products she and Goop have promoted in the past.
Here’s How Paltrow Responds to Backlash
In a two-slide Instagram Story, Paltrow responded to the backlash she’s received since the episode aired.
“Okay, so let’s get into this,” Paltrow began, “So I think it’s important for everyone to know I’m doing a podcast with my doctor, so this is someone I’ve been working with for over two years now. to dealing with some chronic things. And I’ve had COVID for a long time, so I’ve… and the way it shows me is [through] very high levels of inflammation over time. I have collaborated with Dr. Cole to really focus on non-inflammatory foods,” he continued. “So, eat more cooked vegetables, protein, healthy carbohydrates to reduce inflammation. Um, it has worked well, this is, you know, based on my medical results and the comprehensive tests I have done overtime.”
In the second slide, Paltrow continued, “So to wrap it up, you know this is a transparent look at a conversation between me and my doctor. It’s not meant to be advice to anyone else. It’s really what works for me and it’s very powerful. and very positive. This is not to say that, you know, I eat this way all day every day. After all, I eat more than bone broth and vegetables,” he said with a laugh. “I eat full, and I have many days to eat whatever I want, and eat French friends and whatever. My bottom line really is, try to be healthy and eat foods that will really calm the system down, so I hope that helps,” Paltrow concluded.
