Hollywood star, Gwyneth Paltrow, revealed she is still friends with her ex.

The actress shared intimate details during a recent Q&A session on her Instagram page, explaining that she believes in conscious deconstruction and prefers not to have bad blood with anyone.

He also revealed during the session that being positive and optimistic helps him stay productive.

The Goop founder was previously married to Chris Martin, with whom she shares two children, Apple Blythe, 18, and Moses, 16. She is currently married to “Glee” co-creator Brad Falchuk.

During a question-and-answer session on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Paltrow let fans in on intimate details about her personal life, revealing that she’s still “kinda” friends with all of her past lovers.

The 50-year-old also gave an interesting explanation why he decided to maintain communication with his ex, saying there was no need to completely destroy what had previously been a positive relationship.

“Quite a lot. I’m a big believer in conscious deconstruction,” he revealed, per Yahoo. “When you spend meaningful time with someone, it’s nice to turn into a friendship. I don’t want to have bad blood with anyone, if I can help it.”

The term “conscious uncoupling,” which refers to a breakup without anxiety, went viral after the actress used it to describe her breakup with then-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The couple were married for ten years until they divorced in 2014 and share two children, Apple Blythe, 18, and Moses, 16.

Five years after the divorce, the Goop Founder explained in detail during an episode of Armchair Expert what the phrase “conscious opening” meant in reference to his breakup with Martins.

He said at the time that it was “a way to circumvent [pain of divorce] and continued to the point where we were friends, and we remembered what we liked about each other, and always acknowledged that we created this incredible human being together.”

“We are a family, that’s all,” he added, per Many people. “We can pretend we don’t, and hate each other… or, [we can] try to recreate this for ourselves.”

Paltrow has since suffered “brutal” backlash for using the phrase, a claim she confirmed during the same interview. However, he saw no reason to change his views on the matter.

The mother of two added that those three reasons set the stage for other needs. She says, “Those three things make everything align, and I think it gives me a positive baseline.”
