While it’s definitely a scary situation, it looks like the Russian-born former American artistic gymnast is making the most of the time, showing off her impressive collection of shoes and puppies with her Instagram followers!

In her latest Instagram post, the 2008 Olympic all-around champion posed for a selfie wearing a black denim jacket and glittery pink lip gloss. She sits in front of a rack of long-sleeved shirts, but fans are more interested in her shoe collection.
On the wall behind her, fans can see that she has color-coded shoes, featuring an impressive array of colorful heels. The top shelf looks as if it consists entirely of pink heels, while the row below has red, orange and yellow heels. The next row is yellow and green, the previous row is blue and purple, while the bottom three rows appear to consist of brown, silver and black shoes.
“Well, instead you can shelter in place with your beautiful shoes! I’m amazed!” one fan commented with a heart eye emoji. “I need your closet, my friend!” other followers agree. “Shoe/wardrobe goals,” a third fan chimed in. “Oh so scary with $75,000 shoes. I can’t imagine,” wrote another user, to which Nastia responded with a “?” emoji.

In the second slide of her Instagram carousel, Nastia pushes her puppy’s face in front of the camera. While Nastia looks all smiles in the frame, her dog looks more nervous about the storm than she looks!
In the caption, Nastia wrote, “grwm, mid tornado warning, in my closet. Warning is over now – and we’re safe… but still storming like crazy here. hope everyone in dallas stays safe.”
One fan replied, “I had to drive back there. Couldn’t stop my car to save my back. All is well on the home front now.” Another follower shared, “I’m in Rockwall, it’s not too bad here. Good Luck Nastia Had Great Weather For The Nastia Cup Last Weekend!
Just a day before the storm, the five-time Olympic medalist took to Instagram to share the entire Instagram carousel from the 14th annual Nastia Cup, which was held last Friday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
The event, a collaboration between Nastia and the USA Gymnastics organization, was first announced on August 11, 2009 and gave the country’s top Junior Olympic gymnasts one of their first competitive opportunities.
All competing gymnasts receive a leotard designed by Nastia Liukin herself, two tickets to the America’s Cup, and the opportunity to meet Nastia herself and take a team photo. It looks like the team photo is the second to last slide of the Instagram carousel.

In the caption, Nastia wrote, “Year 14, thank you, it’s certainly one for the books… #nastiacup • to my small but mighty group / ride or die, THANK YOU… for getting me through and a HUGE shout out to @christynaik who don’t take any credit but deserve ALL (don’t have a single picture on my phone with you) but THANK YOU for making this happen, year after year… eternally grateful.”

Many fans had nothing but positive things to say about Nastia’s latest gymnastics competition. Although the event is no longer televised, fans can still watch along at home via a live stream on their YouTube page.
“I actually showed my 12-year-old gymnast the pictures and videos from the meet, and now it’s her goal to attend one day! Thank you for being an amazing human being and for highlighting this great gymnast!” commented a fan. “You are a positive force in many lives. Thank you for being you,” another follower agreed.
