During an interview with “Good Morning America’s” Deborah Roberts, the couple shared that they feel like “newlyweds” because they haven’t been together since their wedding.

Blanchard also mentioned that their lives are “pretty busy” right now, seemingly referring to the challenges of managing the fame that has dogged him since his incarceration.

Looking ahead, Blanchard shared that she and Anderson have plans to have children but “don’t know when at this point.”

“I felt a little bit like I was dropped into a different world,” he said. “Because you don’t realize how restricted you are in prison. I felt like I was in a black-and-white world and I just stepped into technicolor. It’s amazing.”

In 2015, Blanchard was sentenced to prison for his role in plotting the murder of his mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee.” The tragic incident took place in Springfield, Missouri, where Dee Dee was found stabbed to death in her home.

Blanchard’s then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who carried out the act, was convicted of first-degree murder and received a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
