Gypsy Rose Blanchard Is Clear On Who She Wants To Play Her In A Future Project

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is not against movies depicting her horrific past. However, if given the chance, he’s already made up his mind about who he wants his character to be.

The star of one of the most famous murder cases in the US has given various in-depth interviews about his life since his release from prison. One of her candid sessions recorded her talking about a popular TV series about her abusive past and why she won’t watch it.

Blanchard sparked a media frenzy in 2016 after pleading guilty to helping her ex-boyfriend kill her mother. He was convicted of second-degree murder and served eight years of a ten-year prison sentence.

The events leading up to the horrific crime have been depicted in various media sources such as Hulu’s hit TV series, “The Act.” However, Blanchard recently admitted she doesn’t watch the show and may never sit down to watch her life play out on the small screen.

“No, I haven’t watched ‘The Act’ yet,” the 32-year-old confirmed when asked about the series. “I feel like I’m living – I’m living it. It’s my life; I don’t feel like I have to go back and watch it, um, play out,” she continued before praising the actress who plays her. In her words:

“I’m sure Joey King did an amazing job playing me. I actually listened to an audio clip of him doing my voice, and I think he got it right. But, I think, honestly, not reliving the trauma was probably the best option for me.

Despite stating he does not want to relive his life on screen, he is eager to have an actor take up the mantle in a possible project about his life. When Access Hollywood rep asked who she would choose if allowed to be in another movie or TV series, Blanchard excitedly said:

“You know it’s funny because I always wanted Millie Bobby Brown to play me. So I think he will be good at playing me.”

In addition to wanting the “Stranger Things” star to play her in a future movie, Blanchard showered another female celebrity with love for helping her get through prison. The woman of the moment is Taylor Swift, whose music she describes as a “guiding light.”

“You know I’m a Swiftie, and I think Taylor Swift’s music has been a little bit of a guide for me to express myself through music and really connect with music in that way,” Blanchard explained.

He went on to say, “So I think ‘Eyes Open’ came out in like 2012, and that one really resonated with me. For me, the message is, you know, open your eyes because you never know who’s out to get you, to sabotage you. It really happened to me in prison too because it’s not a friendly environment.”

Gypsy Hangs On To Taylor Swift’s Music In Jail

Last December, the 32-year-old opened up about being a devoted Swiftie and following the singer’s career while in prison.

He related to Swift, saying the pair had experienced their own era, which helped him find comfort in the “Bad Blood” hitmaker’s music. Blanchard insists that her songs played an important role in helping her cope with the abuse and trauma she endured from her mother and during her time in prison.

The ex-convict said he loved Swift so much that he spent the money his father sent him to prison to buy the musician’s album. Through that, he acquired every album Swift released, including her reissues.

Blanchard hopes to fulfill his dream of meeting his idol at a Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, December 31, thanks to his newfound freedom. The event had been on her radar for a while, so her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, secured tickets on her behalf.

While she knows it won’t be easy to get Swift’s attention, Blanchard said she’s considering giving the Grammy winner a shout-out on social media during the game, hoping the star sees it.

Unfortunately, he had to leave the state and did not attend the game in person.
