On one of her husband’s Instagram posts, Gypsy Rose Blanchard recently defended him from critics in the comments. The 32-year-old wrote: “Ryan, don’t listen to the haters. I love you, and you love me. We owe nothing to anyone. Our family is important.”

He continued: “If you get good likes and comments, great, if you get hate, then whatever because they DON’T MATTER.” The ex-prisoner of the country mischievously declared that the cause of the jealousy was “because you rock my world every night…yes, I say, D is [fire]. A happy wife lives a happy life.”

Responding to Blanchard, Anderson stated: “Who said I care what these jealous people say, haha…now get it, Baby…”

Before his naughty comments, Blanchard was granted parole on December 28, 2023, marking the end of a seven-year+ stint at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. His release follows a 2016 conviction for his involvement in the tragic murder of his mother, Dee Dee.

At the time, Dee Dee faced allegations that Blanchard was disabled for years, using only a wheelchair with a feeding tube. Seeking redemption, the “Mommy Dead and Dearest” star convinced her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to stab her mother to death.

Both were arrested for their roles in Dee Dee’s death, and Godejohn is currently serving a life sentence, while Blanchard has only served 7+ of his 10-year sentence.

Blanchard and her husband, Anderson, first met when Anderson, a special education teacher from Louisiana who was inspired by the 2017 HBO documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest,” sent her a letter in 2020. Their relationship blossomed, and two years later, they married.

In an exclusive interview with People’s Magazine, Blanchard and Anderson expressed their enthusiasm for married life after prison. However, they also worry about how living in the spotlight could affect their relationships. “I think the only fear I have is, honestly, just making sure that we have a good conflict [resolution]. I’m a very ‘in the moment’ kind of person, so I want to make sure if we’re arguing, I want to make it clear in the moment.”

Opening up about their different approaches to conflict resolution, the “Gypsy Revenge” star shared, “My only concern is making sure we deal with disagreements effectively. I’m spontaneous and prefer to resolve issues in the moment, whereas he takes time to reflect and review resumed the discussion a few hours later. Finding balance is key.”

“He was … on the contrary, where he had to sit on things and think about them, and then come back a few hours later and finish them,” he added.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard And Ryan Anderson On Navigating Life As A Married Couple After Prison

Although married for two years, Blanchard and Anderson’s marriage was entirely long-distance because he was incarcerated. Now that he’s out,

Blanchard expects to live with her lover, and acknowledges the upcoming adjustment, stating, “I’ve never lived with a man. I grew up with a mom, so I didn’t grow up with a dad at home. So I was like, ‘I don’t even know what it’s like to live with a man.'”

During the conversation, Anderson also shared their plans for Blanchard’s early days of freedom, intending to create a “romantic evening” featuring gumbo and gifts. “Gypsy never had a real date where you go and sit somewhere and eat and go to the movies or do whatever,” she explained.

However, Anderson remains skeptical about the high attention their lives might attract. “It will be a whirlwind, and there will be a lot of attention. I’m still very nervous about that. I am a very private person,” he said.

The couple’s journey, which led to Blanchard’s release, will be revealed in Lifetime’s compelling docuseries, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,” premiering Jan. 5.
