Gypsy Rose Blanchard faces the downside of popularity just days after tasting freedom!
The ex-convict has received significant media attention given the tragic story that saw him imprisoned for nearly a decade. While some sympathize with Gypsy’s plight and find her new life outside the bar, others use her tail.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Viral Facebook Account Is An Impersonation Scheme
After being released from prison, Gypsy began her social media journey on various platforms such as Instagram and X. However, despite being popular among fans, she never opened a Facebook account “Gypsy-Rose Anderson.”
The fake account went viral because of its name because the media personality’s other account posted her full name, “Gypsy Rose Blanchard.” The inspiration behind “The Act” series recently took the impersonator to his Instagram page, sharing a screenshot of the highlighted Facebook page.
The account has gained over 5,000 followers and uses Gypsy’s first post-freedom selfie as her profile picture. “WARNING! Beware of fake Gypsy accounts like this,” he announced in the caption of the post, adding:
“My Instagram has been verified, and I am working on verification on my other social media. Please be aware of the accounts you see and follow and report any suspicious or fake accounts. Thank you.”
His update drew positive responses from his 3.9 million followers, with many flooding the comments section with jokes, compliments and threats aimed at the impostor. One social media user wrote: “Just got out of jail and already got internet beef.”
Another said, “Imagine being called by Gypsy herself,” while a third declared, “You literally have an army of girls standing behind you. We love you. Don’t play with Gypsy.” A fourth warned impersonators to be careful, writing: “Whoever created that account, TRUST. You will be dealt with.”
As mentioned, the fake Facebook book account caused a stir among fans for being the only social media site with Gypsy’s married name as its handle. The former inmate tied the knot with Ryan Anderson in June during a prison wedding.
Many suspect she wanted to show off her blossoming relationship with her husband by naming her Facebook account “Gypsy-Rose Anderson.” The bio also added to the misunderstanding, reading: “My Greatest Blessings Are My Husband And Family.”
Although her other social media accounts use her common name, Gypsy added her husband’s last name to her Instagram bio to become “Gypsy-Rose Blanchard-Anderson.” This touching gesture is understandable, given the couple’s history.
Ryan was also the first person she contacted after her release. He picked her up from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in northern Missouri in a Cadillac Sedan. The vehicle sports a unique license plate that reads “HITMAN” — a famous wrestling reference.
Surprisingly, Ryan made no secret of his moment with Gypsy as he was present with a camera crew to document his wife’s much-anticipated release. The couple then spend their first night as free women in a budget hotel.
The camera crew naturally got a buzz wondering if Ryan really cared about Gypsy or if he was using her for fame. However, it is important to note that the ex-convict has an upcoming documentary that may require his release from prison to be filmed.
The TV project, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,” is reportedly a six-hour special that includes prison interviews with Gypsy over the past seven years. It follows the viral story of her plotting the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, with her ex-boyfriend after falling victim to false diagnoses and medical treatment.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Shares Touching Reunion With Her Sister Following Freedom
Before revealing the fake Facebook page, Gypsy celebrated her freedom with her sister Mia Blanchard on Instagram. The post features a photo that appears to have been taken during the 32-year-old’s homecoming ceremony, given the festive decorations in the background.
In the blink of an eye, the two flashed bright smiles to the camera as they posed side by side with arms around each other. Behind them, a gold balloon saying “welcome home” hangs on the wall, with more white balloons next to it.
For the occasion, Gypsy donned a semi-colored top in shades of white and blue and showed off some skin with the cut-out sleeves of the dress. She paired the ensemble with jeans while her brown hair fell to her shoulders in soft waves.
Meanwhile, her older sister donned a long-sleeved white shirt over a pair of black pants and styled her blonde locks in a slicked-back style. Mia also attended the party in full glam, but Gypsy chose to rock her natural beauty.
The heartfelt post captioned, “Sister Love,” received over a million likes and many comments from fans happy to see the Blanchard sisters reunited.
