The model revealed some mental health issues after suffering a mini-stroke in 2022. Hailey also discovered a hole in her heart shortly after the stroke. This led him to undergo surgery.

The influencer and former model, who is married to popular singer Justin Bieber, described the experience as “weird.” He also noted that it was “triggering” to recall his struggles with his physical and mental health.

On one episode Seamless with Vogue podcast, Hailey stated that she became very scared after her diagnosis with a mini-stroke, because she thought it would happen again. He also developed PTSD after an experience that “terrified” him.

He explains per Page Six, “I struggled with a lot of anxiety after that. I was struggling with a little bit of PTSD, like the fear that it might happen again.” Hailey recalled how terrifying the ordeal was, saying, “It was very scary, very jarring … in every way you can imagine.”

The 26-year-old also added that the stroke was “the scariest thing she’s ever experienced,” and things got worse when she discovered a hole in her heart.

He Found A Hole In His Heart

Rhode Beauty’s CEO’s anxiety levels were heightened when the hospital discovered a hole in his heart. He recalled experiencing initial health problems in Palm Springs in March before being diagnosed later with heart disease.

The following month, he underwent patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure surgery which turned out to be successful. Although he is now feeling better, the star revealed that it will be difficult to return to Palm Springs for some time, because it will always make him remember “exactly how everything happened at that time.”

Although she was more scared than ever, Hailey was thankful that she found the hole before it caused any serious health problems. Hailey said, “I think the upside for me is that it led me to know that I had this hole in my heart.” The star also bounced back and felt better than ever.

The star also considered herself lucky after realizing that her situation could have been worse than it was. Looking back on everything that happened, he said, “I look back and it could have been worse. So many worse things could have happened in that time.”

Hailey, who initially didn’t know what caused the mini-stroke, later revealed that it was related to a blood clot that came into contact with her brain.

The vlogger released a YouTube video detailing his traumatic experience to the public, and how the stroke happened. He explained that the doctor discovered that a blood clot had found its way to his brain and began attacking it. Although they are convinced that the clot caused the stroke, they don’t know how it got there.

However, Hailey who was burdened by the situation at the time, was relieved because she didn’t have to worry anymore. She said, “I’m really relieved I’ll be able to move on from this very scary situation and live my life.” The star also confirmed in his video that he is in a better place and recovering quickly. “It’s going well… I’m recovering well, very quickly.”

The model isn’t the only one thankful for her recovery. Her husband, Justin, also spoke about it during the Denver concert, per Page Six. “Most of you probably know or have seen the news about my wife … but she’s OK, she’s good, she’s strong.”
