According to Billboard, the original song was a collaboration with Post Malone for his 2019 album “Hollywood Bleeding.” However, the Grammy nominee dropped a solo version of “Die 4 Me” on Friday, February 24, a week after promising fans with an announcement that read in part:
“It’s been known for a long time in my fan base that there’s a ‘Die For Me’ demo with just me on it. I performed my verse on tour all summer.”
He went on to state that he “decided to put my full version out as ‘Die 4 Me” because “so many” people were asking for it.
