Hamas gives 10-month-old Israeli hostage to separate Palestinian terror group: ‘More psychological torture’

A 10-month-old Israeli boy – the youngest hostage taken by Hamas – and his family were handed over to another Palestinian terrorist group in what one relative criticized as “just psychological torture.”

Arab spokesman for the IDF Avichay Adraee revealed Monday night that the Bibas family – including baby Kfir, his 4-year-old brother Ariel, and their parents – were detained in the southern city of Khan Younis following the disturbing action.

“In Hamas prisons, babies under the age of one who have not seen sunlight for more than 50 days are being held,” Adraee wrote in a post to X.

“Hamas treats them as if they were bootlegs and sometimes hands them over to other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.

“For example, the Bibas family, two red-haired children ‘The Reds,’ who were kidnapped from their home in Nir Oz by members of the terrorist organization Hamas and detained in the Khan Yunis area by one of the Palestinians. tribe,” he wrote.

Kfir Bibas is the youngest hostage captured by Hamas. A video circulated by the family shows Hamas gunmen abducting Israeli mother Shiri Silberman Bibas and her two sons Kfir Bibas, 9 months old, Ariel Bibas, 3 years old.

Khan Younis – where Bibas is reportedly being held – is expected to be the target of an Israeli attack once the temporary ceasefire expires, The Telegraph reported, prompting speculation that Hamas strategically moved the baby into the city as a way to extend the ceasefire.

The Bibas family of four were among 240 hostages taken by Hamas during the group’s deadly October 7 attack on Israel.

The boy’s aunt, Noah Abrahams, described the latest developments in the family’s confinement as “just psychological torture,” according to The Telegraph.

“We are experiencing moments of great uncertainty. The realization that we won’t get the hugs we’ve been dreaming of leaves us speechless,” the family said in a statement.

On Monday, Israel and Hamas agreed to extend their temporary ceasefire for two more days.

Hamas said the extension would follow the rules previously set in the initial four-day deal, meaning the terrorists would release at least 20 more hostages in exchange for two additional days of peace.

Eleven hostages, including nine children, were released by Hamas on Monday.
