After months of speculation and cryptic social media posts, Heather Rae El Moussa has confirmed her absence from Season 8 of the highly anticipated Netflix hit series “Selling Sunset.”
The move marks a significant shift for the actor, who has formed a close friendship with newcomer Bre Tiesi and has been a fixture on the show since its first episode.

Since the 32-year-old joined The Oppenheim Group, he and El Moussa have forged a relationship that extends beyond the glossy screen of “Selling Sunset.” However, after reports hinted that his friend’s role could potentially be reduced in the coming season, Tiesi felt sad.
In an interview with E! News, the Calabasas native expressed his sadness at the uncertain status of his friend’s involvement in the show.
“I absolutely adore Heather. I’m so sad to hear that he won’t be a big part,” shared the mother of one, emphasizing their close relationship. The model admits to being a bit dark about the details, stating:
“But, to be honest, I don’t know too much about it. They kind of separate us from all that. But I was disappointed to hear that. We are really close.”
The uncertainty surrounding El Moussa’s return was evident in her March statement: “Season 7 is filming right now, but I left on maternity leave, and I’m excited to get back to work, and so far, I haven’t been called back. It’s a bit disappointing. So [I’m] not sure what happened.”
Addressing the situation, Brett Oppenheim, President and Broker of Oppenheim Real Estate, hinted at a tentative stance on his two commitments, stating, “I think it’s TBD. I think, for now, he can do both.”
