Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa have revealed their baby’s face and name!
The couple welcomed their first child together on January 31, announcing the arrival a few days later in a joint social media post. Excited parents have now shown their faces and told the world their baby’s name, along with an explanation for their choice. This will be the third child for Tarek, who shares two children, Brayden and Taylor, with his ex-wife, Christina Hall.

Throughout her nine-month journey, Heather made sure that she gave her three million followers regular “baby updates”. The reality star proved that tradition will continue two weeks after she welcomed her first baby boy.

To that end, the “Selling the Sunset” star and her lover posted two photos of their son lying on his mother’s chest in the hospital. While Heather wears a black off-the-shoulder dress in the first photo that shows her smiling, the second features her in black pajamas as she and Tarek kiss. The new mom started the caption by writing:
“We would like to introduce Tristan Jay El Moussa to the world 6:55am 1-31-23 7lbs 7oz Tristan is the name Tarek should have had, Jay is my father’s middle name & 4 generations of Jay.”
Heather later shared details about “some scary moments leading up” to Tristan’s arrival. In her words, “had scar tissue from a biopsy I did a few years ago, which affected my cervix softening & water breaking. Once at the hospital, I was given 1/2 a Cytotec pill to soften the cervix, the balloon went in. 2 hours later I expanded to 4.”
Three hours after the balloon dropped, she had “dialed to 6, then a few minutes 8 then 15 minutes later my water broke!” As it turned out, the child was not yet ready to leave the womb as his heart rate dropped “very low every time” his mother was asked to refuse.
Despite the challenge of getting her “out right away,” Heather gave four more hard pushes while her doctor used a “vacuum to help get her out quickly or else we’d have to do a C-section”.

After acknowledging her husband’s presence by her side, the 35-year-old explained that he pushed “so hard that all the blood vessels burst in my face and chest.” Amidst all the confusion and fear, Tristan finally moves on, looking “healthy and beautiful.”
“I was in a state of shock[,] it is a surreal experience. I’m emotional and tired & already in love. It was scary, but beautiful & I had the best support from Tarek, my amazing @drlisakaramardian and all the nurses at Hoag,” she continued.
The blonde star concluded that she and Tarek were just “so happy to share Tristan” and some of their “birth story with the world.” “Awww Heather I’m so glad you have a healthy little one. He’s already so loved,” Netflix co-star Chrishell Stause commented.
Another starlet, Chelsea Lazkani, wrote, “Omg what a beautiful birthday story! We already love you Tristan,” and “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Gretchen Rossi exclaimed, “Love it!!! ??? Can’t wait to see him!”
Heather had initially teased her followers by asking them to guess the name she and Tarek landed on for their child, The Blast reported last month. She had captioned an Instagram photo of her and her husband grinning at each other; “Smiling because only a few people guessed his name ? ???”

The comments section of social media influencers quickly filled up with people suggesting names like Luca (or Lucas), Mason, Grayson, Sailor, Cayden and Mickey.
Real Estate Agent Enjoys Her New Phase as a First Time Mother
A week after she became a mother, Heather updated her fans on her new journey. The Blast noted that the “Love in the Time of Machines” actor shared a 20-second clip to his Instagram Story, saying:
“So, I’m a little out of commission because I’m busy with my little angel baby boy and just getting used to being a new mom.”
She explained that while she was “disappointed” not to see the reveal of one of the houses for their HGTV series, “The Flipping El Moussas,” she “wouldn’t want to be anywhere else” RT other than with her “little love today.”
Heather and Tarek announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on February 3 with an Instagram post that excluded his face. They both only shared his date of birth and that their hearts were happy to be parents.
