Despite the secrecy surrounding her father’s identity, Heather had no problem celebrating in style when her birthday arrived on Tuesday.

In a photo she uploaded to Instagram, Heather smiles next to her dad on her wedding day. From the look of her father walking her down the aisle to meet her husband, Tarek El Moussa, at the altar to the couple sharing a father-daughter dance, the photos are sweet and adorable.
As it turns out, the reality star chose to use a photo from her wedding day to mark her father’s success to draw comparisons between her and her man. In other words, Heather used the image to signify that her father gave up his best friend status to Tarek. The 35-year-old explained a lot in his caption, which began:
“Happy birthday to my dad, my best friend the man I look so much like but fought for years telling myself I’m not like you. You know why 😉 you taught me work ethic, and to never stop achieving my goals. You are loyal, determined and have a good heart.”
Growing up with a man with those qualities made Heather realize that she wanted to “marry a man like you, who provides, protects, and puts his wife and children above everything else.” That’s why she didn’t hesitate to say “yes” to Tarek when he proposed when she met him more than two decades later — because the “Flip or Flop” star is just like his dad.

Heather concluded by expressing her desire for her father to be the grandfather of her baby boy. The sweet photo and caption caught people’s attention so much that they gave over 30k likes and dropped tons of comments.
The real estate agent always relied on his father for encouragement. As PEOPLE previously reported, when Heather became nervous during her wedding ceremony, her father spent five to ten minutes calming her down.
Whether he helped her through that time or not, the February 2010 “Playmate of the Month” was glad her father was able to walk her down the aisle. In her words, “I know my parents wanted nothing more than for me to be with a man who protected me and loved me like Tarek. Having my dad walk me down the aisle and hand me off to my husband was everything.”

The couple rocked white outfits, with Tarek wearing a T-shirt and his wife in a halter dress that exposed her upper back for the cameras. The “Malibu Horror Story” star wore her blonde hair in an updo, accentuating her dangling earrings and slender neck.
He wrote, “Missing my best friend @therealtarekelmoussa so much. I can’t wait to kiss and hold you,” across the loved-up image, which appears to have been filmed during their gender reveal.
At the time of the bash, Heather took to her Instagram Stories to update fans with various photos from the event, including “decor+details.” The party, which was held on July 24, consisted of eye-catching baby-themed designs, such as a banner with two baby shoes — blue and pink.
The plaque also includes the date of the event and “Him or Her” written under the baby’s shoes with “Come in and see!” under it. The real estate agent later revealed the bash venue — her father-in-law, Dominique El Moussa’s backyard.
For entertainment, guests had a “little station” where people could make their best guess as to the gender of the unborn child. They later find out that Heather and Tarek are expecting a baby boy.
