A group of thieves ransacked an Amazon delivery van as the helpless driver looked stunned during a brazen daylight robbery in Atlanta in the latest in a string of attacks on delivery trucks.
The female driver told police she was delivering a package to the Country Oaks Apartments in the Fairburn Mays neighborhood Sunday afternoon when she left her running vehicle unattended, a common practice for delivery service workers.
He then claimed at least four men ran up to the truck and stole several packages from inside, according to 11Alive.
Video captured from a nearby apartment showed the thief jumping out of the front of the van and running to the back where the door was already open, before jumping back in and filling their arms with packages.
The camera then switches to the driver, in the middle of his delivery route, who suddenly stops walking and sees his truck being ransacked.

As they rushed into the van, several thieves slipped and fell to the ground before quickly getting up and getting into the back, but there was no need to rush as there was no one around to stop them.
It is not known what was in the stolen package.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect and determine the circumstances behind the robbery, according to the outlet.

The Amazon theft came hours after a group of drivers blocked a FedEx semi truck in Memphis on Saturday night as thieves stole multiple packages from the back once it was closed.
Three men were arrested for their involvement in the robbery after they were caught by security detail at the apartment complex with several packages in their car.

Another recent attack on delivery drivers saw a Maryland UPS driver become the victim of an armed daytime carjacking in Maryland.
In footage captured in Prince George’s County last Thursday, a group of thieves surrounded the female driver before taking off in a large brown truck.
