“Batman v Superman” actor Henry Cavill expressed his displeasure with filming intimate scenes, denouncing them as “overused” in cinema and “an excuse to see scantily clad people.”

Speaking on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the 40-year-old actor admitted to feeling “uncomfortable” while shooting such scenes, insisting that they had minimal contribution to the storytelling.

He explained: “I think sometimes they are overused these days, and when you know where you are going. “Is this really necessary, or are people underdressed.”

The actor explained: “I don’t understand them – I’m not a fan. I think there are situations where as– a scene actually benefits the film, not just the audience.”

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Spotlight With Jessica Shaw” to promote the spy action comedy “Argyle” with director Matthew Vaughn, Cavill received an unexpected revelation about his past “Bond” auditions in the 2000s.
