Henry Dargan McMaster (born May 27, 1947) is the 117th Governor of South Carolina and a member of the Republican Party. He has held office since January 24, 2017. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of South Carolina in 1969 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1973.
