Here Are 5 Facts Regarding Samira Frasch’s Murder

In February 2014, Samira Frasch, a French model of Madagascar descent, was found dead at the bottom of the pool of her Tallahassee mansion. Although the scene caused Samira’s death to appear to be accidental, an autopsy later proved she died of a combination of blunt force trauma to the head and drowning.

A three-year investigation into the model’s murder sheds light on the events that took place in the hours before her murder by her estranged husband, Adam Frasch. Samira Frasch’s murder will be discussed on Wednesday’s episode of Dateline: Secrets Revealed. The synopsis for the episode titled At the Bottom of the Pool reads:

“When a model and would-be YouTube sensation is found dead, authorities interview her husband to see if he has any answers.”

This episode will air on Oxygen on February 15, 2023 at 8pm ET.

The autopsy report on Samira Frasch, Adam’s cellmate testimony, and other information about the case

1) A craftsman found Samira’s body in a pond.

Gerald Gardner, a handyman, found Samira Frasch’s body at the bottom of his backyard pool in Tallahassee’s gated Golden Eagle community. He allegedly found the body shortly before 11 a.m. Samira was unresponsive, lying in the pool with only a leopard print robe knotted around her waist. Gerald later called the authorities to report the murder and expressed his refusal to remove Samira’s body from the pool.

2) The autopsy report on Samira Frasch

At first, Samira appears to have slipped and fallen into the pool, perhaps while chasing her dog which was found nearby. According to Oxygen, police determined that the conditions at the scene were not consistent with the premises following closer scrutiny. Even though the hose lies partially buried in the water with one of Samira’s shoes tucked underneath, it feels like a make-believe. Authorities were also baffled as to how the ankle strap sandals could slip off so easily.

An autopsy determined Samira died from a combination of suffocation and blunt force trauma to the head. Furthermore, the victim’s friends and relatives told authorities that he could not swim.

3) Adam Frasch was there at the residence hours before her body was found.

According to sources, Samira’s estranged husband, Adam Frasch, spent the night before the murder at the residence. He left the next day at 8 a.m., driving his two young children to Panama City Beach in a rented GMC Yukon. Three hours later, his body was found.

Eyewitnesses claim to have seen someone like Samira at the premises after Adam left with their children. He was arrested, however, for defying a court order granting Samira temporary custody of their children. At the time of the attack, the couple was in the process of divorcing. Authorities reportedly observed scratches under Adam’s eyes during the arrest.

4) The night before the murder, Samira and Adam had a fight.

Samira, according to Adam Frasch, was a heavy drinker who drank two bottles of champagne the night before her body was found in the pool. However, a toxicology examination revealed that he had no evidence of alcohol in his system. That night, the couple allegedly had a fight when Samira found an intimate video of Adam with his ex-girlfriend. Furthermore, he allegedly had many relationships at the time.

5) At Adam Frasch’s trial, his cellmate testified, giving the facts of Samira Frasch’s murder.

One of Adams’ cellmates, Dale Folsom, testified during his trial, stating that the father of two gave him the facts of the murder. Frasch reportedly struck Samira Frasch in the head with a golf club before pushing her into the pool. She says that it was an accident and that Adam did not intend to kill her.

According to The Tallahassee Democrat, officers later found Samira’s DNA on a golf club at their residence. However, the medical examiner stated that the club involved did not cause the victim’s head injury.
