Cheryl Burke has revealed some tips on how to achieve self-love!
No one does it better than the professional dancer, who recently had a hard time leaving “Dancing With the Stars” after 26 seasons to teach about self-love. Therefore, fans love it when he guides them through five tips that have helped him in loving and putting himself first in an effort to help them achieve the same goal.
Cheryl Burke Increases Her Happiness Through Gratitude Journaling
After a turbulent period through an unfriendly divorce and then a fight with ex-husband Matthew Lawrence over custody of their shared dog, Ysabella, the professional dancer has embarked on a journey of self-love. And now, she has educated her 733k Instagram followers on how to get to the point where they no longer feel worthless.
Joining the “Get Ready With Me” trend, she uploaded a video of herself excitedly going through the glam process while sharing “five ways to practice self-love.” For her first tip, the Filipino American instructed the audience to “keep a gratitude journal” because it “increases your happiness and self-esteem” over time. Next, he shared that fans should spend less time on social media, adding:
“After this video, maybe it’s time to log out, ‘kay? I rarely scroll. It will reduce depression, feelings of loneliness, comparison, anxiety, [and] FOMO [fear of missing out]. You could be doing a million other more productive things for yourself.”

He then suggests making “eye contact with someone” and “having dinner without your phone on your table.” For her third tip, Burke encourages fans to “practice mindfulness,” whether it’s through meditation, deleting distracting apps, going out with a friend or going for a walk.
“Four, forgive yourself. This is still something I’m working on. You want to focus on self-talk — that voice in your head- and change the perspective to positive from negative. Hopefully, the goal is to start forgiving others. Not because of the act, but so that you don’t carry that burden,” said the 39-year-old woman while styling her hair.
Her final tip is for her fans to “work with a professional,” claiming that “going to therapy is a sign of self-love and self-care.” The clip wrapped with Burke showing off her black leather top, matching pants and brown jacket.
Fan reactions immediately started pouring in, with one agreeing, “All great ideas @cherylburke! The only thing I would add is what I think is the most important – prayer,” and the second commenter stated, “I will practice these (5) steps, I have at least (4), of these symptoms. lost my girlfriend, she dumped me for someone else.”
A third fan suggested additional tips, including “Peloton, Increasing water, inspirational podcasts, Pilates, hacking my body bio with activation,” and a fourth read, “I agree with Self Love, but right now, I love your Freckles! !”
“Great tip ❤️ make time to do things I love and that make me happy!” the fifth viewer exclaimed, while the sixth viewer said, “You are an amazing young woman. You look beautiful. Sending love, light and great vibes.”
The other time Burke talked about self-love was in January when she posted three images of herself in a white top and brown flared pants on Instagram. Amid a lengthy caption discussing how she would have handled her marriage situation in the past, the television host revealed:
“Through all the ups and downs, and the “work” I put on myself, I find comfort in knowing that the only person who can fill my cup, is ME. And for the first time, I can truly say that, I LOVE ME!”
