There have been many celebrity cameos in “Star Wars” over the years, including Daniel Craig, James Bond himself, dressed as a Stormtrooper for 2015’s “The Force Awakens.”
Even “Scrubs” star Zach Braff has a small cameo providing the voice for Freck, the transport driver in the Disney+ live-action series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Here are some of the most surprising cameos that fans didn’t expect!
JJ Abrams Puts a Little ‘Star Trek’ In ‘Star Wars’

New Zealand actor Karl Urban, who appeared in “Star Trek” 2009, also has a small appearance in “The Rise of Skywalker” 2019. He is one of the Stormtroopers lining the wall when Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren pass.
Urban is the one who says the line “Knights of Ren” to distinguish him from the other Stormtroopers. In an interview with Digital Spy, Urban said that he had a “really fun” day on set, adding, “It’s been one of my lifelong goals to be a Stormtrooper, so I can tick that off now.”
Rian Johnson Gives Joseph Gordon-Levitt Role In ‘The Last Jedi’

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has worked with director Rian Johnson on more than half a dozen projects, so it’s no wonder the “Knives Out” director wanted to put him in a “Star Wars” movie.
After Rose and Finn park their shuttle on a beach on the planet Canto Bight, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the alien Slowen Lo, who complains about the shuttle being parked illegally. That wasn’t his only brush with the galaxy far, far away, however. He later lent his voice to the “Star Wars: Visions” episode “Tatooine Rhapsody.”
Jason Sudeikis Hiding In Plain Sight As A Boy Scout!

“Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis secretly appeared in a galaxy far, far away… but not in a movie! He appears in the first season of “The Mandalorian” at the end of the episode titled “Chapter 7: The Reckoning” and the beginning of the following episode.
Sudeikis actually climbs into a costume to play Scout Trooper and ends up wresting Grogu from Kuiil. He is later killed by IG-11 in the following episode. IG-11 is, of course, voiced by Taika Waititi, who is still working on the script for his own “Star Wars” movies.

What do Lizzo, Jack Black and Christopher Lloyd have in common? They all appeared in the season 3 episode of the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian.” While most fans seemed okay with Christopher Lloyd’s cameo, the appearance of Jack Black and Lizzo in a galaxy far, far away created a bit of controversy.
In an Instagram post shortly after her appearance, Lizzo revealed that she has been a fan of the franchise from a very young age. “When I was young, my father introduced me to Star Wars like a ritual. The trilogy was his favorite film and quickly became mine,” he wrote.

“When Jon Favreau called me and offered me the role of The Dutchess, I cried all day wishing my dad was still with us because he was so proud,” she continued. “Star Wars is a dream I never thought possible – but thanks to Jon, Bryce, and everyone in the galaxy I am now part of the ever-expanding saga of the stars.”
“I am in honorable company and am always grateful. This is the Way…. and May the Force be with you,” he concluded. “Star Wars” alum Mark Hamill was one of the first to comment, writing, “Fortunate to have you as part of our family. Welcome!” with a red heart emoji.
Even George Lucas Has A Cameo In The ‘Star Wars’ Movie!
MEGA
Some fans may not realize it, but the creator himself, George Lucas, has a cameo in “Revenge of the Sith.” He appears on Coruscant as Baron Notluwiski Papanoida, though fans may not recognize him in that blue face paint.
He can be seen talking to Chi Eekway at the Coruscant opera house. Eekway, of course, is played by Lucas’ daughter Amanda. Although it was only a small cameo appearance, Papanoida would later have a significant role in “The Clone Wars” animated episode “Sphere of Influence.” Although the character still looks like George Lucas, the character is voiced by Corey Burton.
