Hezbollah says it’s ‘fully prepared’ to join Hamas in war with Israel

Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah said it was “fully prepared” to join Hamas in its war against Israel, as military officials in the Jewish state prepared for an all-out ground assault on the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a rally where hundreds of people gathered in solidarity with Hamas, waving Palestinian flags and Hezbollah while chanting, “Death to Israel,” Deputy Chief Naim Qassem vowed Lebanon would join the fight “when the time comes to act.”

He told supporters in the suburbs of Beirut that Hezbollah rejected foreign calls for the Lebanese militant group not to get involved, as Hezbollah leaders were meeting with Iran’s foreign minister to discuss the situation.

“Behind the scenes calling us by the great powers, the Arab countries, the envoys of the United Nations, directly and indirectly, telling us not to intervene will have no effect,” Qassem said.

“Hizbullah knows its job very well,” he continued. “We are ready and prepared, fully prepared, and we are following developments from time to time.”

“The question that is being asked, that everyone is waiting for, what will Hezbollah do and what will it contribute?

“We will contribute to the confrontation in our plan – when the time comes for any action, we will implement it.”

The group has already exchanged fire with Israeli forces on the Lebanese border, as the IDF tries to counter Hamas terrorists.

The worst attack on Israel in 50 years: How we got here

2005: Israel unilaterally withdraws from the Gaza Strip three decades after winning the territory from Egypt in the Six-Day War.

2006: The terrorist group Hamas wins Palestinian legislative elections.

2007: Hamas takes control of Gaza in a civil war.

2008: Israel launched a military offensive against Gaza after Palestinian terrorists fired rockets into the city of Sderot.

2023: Hamas launches its biggest attack on Israel in 50 years.

More than 1,300 Israelis have been killed, more than 3,000 injured and at least 100 taken hostage, with the death toll expected to rise after Hamas terrorists fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of militants into Israeli cities.

Hamas terrorists are seen taking women hostage and parading them through the streets in a gruesome video.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced “We are at war” and promised Hamas would pay an “unprecedented price.”

Gaza health officials reported at least 1,400 Palestinians killed and more than 6,000 wounded.

In response, Israel attacked an observation post belonging to the group, as well as a Lebanese village — in the most serious escalation between the two countries since 2006.

But so far, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has not commented on the situation.

He met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Friday morning to discuss the ongoing war.

It’s unclear what the two men said at the meeting, but afterward, Amirabdollahian said the U.S. needs to rein in Israel if it wants to prevent an all-out regional war, according to Politico.

He previously accused Israel of committing “war crimes” in Gaza, and said Iran had asked Egypt, the United Nations and other aid groups to allow it to send humanitarian aid to the region.

Amirabdollahian is expected to meet with Syrian officials about the situation.

Meanwhile, Israel has urged those living in Gaza City to leave their homes as it prepares for a ground offensive.

Leaflets warning citizens of an “imminent attack” were dropped on residential areas Friday morning, as panicked families grabbed their belongings and fled.

The IDF also issued a statement warning Gaza residents, “Evacuation is for your own safety.”

It added that Hamas terrorists were hiding in tunnels under Gaza City and in residential buildings.

But Hamas has called on Gazans to stay in their homes, as it dismissed the evacuation order as “false propaganda” – despite the Israeli army having some 360,000 troops on the Gaza border.

The short-notice evacuation warning comes as Israel has hit Gaza with 6,000 bombs in retaliation for a surprise attack by Hamas over the weekend that killed more than 1,300 Israelis.

Israel has halted deliveries of food, water, fuel and electricity to Gaza’s 2.3 million residents, and Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz said Thursday there would be no exceptions to the siege without freedom for hostages taken by Hamas.
