Hilary Duff, who rose to fame after her starring role on Disney Channel’s “Lizzie McGuire,” broke her silence on Stan Rogow’s passing.
Stan Rogow, Emmy-nominated writer and producer of “Lizzie McGuire,” has died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 75.
Survivors include his son, Jackson Rogow.

Hilary Duff rose to fame when she starred as Lizzie McGuire in the popular Disney Channel television series, “Lizzie McGuire” from 2001-2004 and in “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” in 2003.
After Duff learned of the passing of Stan Rogow, who was a producer on the Disney Channel show and a friend of the actress, she took to social media to address the tragic event.
“Writing this now brings back so many distant memories of what felt like a completely different time..,” he began, adding, “One where I had absolutely no idea where I was going or how I got there, but where I have the passion and blind confidence that accompanies youth and your first chance to rise.”
Duff continued, “You really appreciate the people who first believe in you and see something in you, and for me, there was a very special person who fought for me to get a role that would change the course of my life… and I’m so sad to hear of his passing today this.”
The actor later thanked the late producer by writing, “Stan – thank you for thinking I had ‘that special thing.’ Thank you. for all of Lizzie’s adventures. Thank you for helping create a reality I never dreamed of. Thinking of your family and your son Jackson at this time. Calm down Stan.”
