Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, was recently heard on audio taping one of her staffers in a profanity-laced tirade in which she said she and another staffer had no brains and “f- -k- up.”
Jackson Lee, a Hillary Clinton-backed congressman who built a reputation in Washington as one of the “most despicable” members of Congress, has represented the same Houston, Texas district in the House of Representatives for over 28 years.
In March, Jackson Lee ran for mayor of Houston in an off-year election, which, if elected, would end his time in Congress.
In audio obtained by the Texas Current Revolt newspaper and published Saturday Jackson Lee is heard talking to a male employee when he asks, “You took a piece of paper from that lady about something that belonged to Duncantell. Where? what date?”
The man responded by telling the deputy that he gave a piece of paper to Jerome, who took it upstairs.
The staff member then told Jackson Lee he needed to call Jerome, before hanging up.

“I don’t want you to do it [expletive] thing,” he said. “I want you there [expletive] brain. I want you to have read it. I want you to say, ‘Congressman, it’s such and such a date. That’s what I want. That’s the kind of staff I want to have.”
Jackson Lee continued to spew obscenities at the staff as he berated him about how he expected his staff members to handle calendar events, especially from Ovide Duncantell, founder of the Black Heritage Society, Inc.
Instead of pawning it off on someone else, the congressman said he needs anyone who takes information about the event to know when and where the event is taking place.

But in this case, the staff member played the audio as if he gave it to another staff member.
“When I called Jerome, he just sat there like a fat man [expletive]just talk about what [expletive] he doesn’t know,” he said. “You both [expletive]-oops…This is the worst [expletive] that I can gather. two [expletive] big [expletive] children. [expletive] fool. Service no [expletive] purpose.
“No one respects him, no one gives [expletive] about what you do. And you don’t [expletive]. And this is an example. I gave it to Jerome. This is not child’s work, ok,” said Jackson Lee.
The congressman did not immediately respond to Fox News’ questions about the footage.
This isn’t the first time Jackson Lee has insulted a staff member.
In fact, in 2011, a Daily Caller report quoted several former employees as saying he used derogatory language and name-calling when contacting them.

He was also accused of forcing his staff to work long hours, even early in the morning, and demanding that they drive him wherever he went no matter how short the distance.
Jackson Lee was forced to resign as chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) in 2019 following a lawsuit by a former employee who claimed he was fired in retaliation for a planned lawsuit related to an alleged 2015 rape by a supervisor.
According to The New York Times, which first reported Jackson Lee’s plans to resign, CBCF board members told Jackson Lee to step down as chairman or face a ouster vote after the lawsuit became public a week earlier.

In the suit, the unnamed former employee claims she was raped while a CBCF intern by the foundation’s training program coordinator and her supervisor at the time.
Two years later, he was hired to work for Jackson Lee, who had recently been appointed chairman of the CBCF board of directors.
Shortly after he was hired, Doe said Jackson Lee received a text message from CBCF’s then-chief executive, A. Shaunise Washington.
“I just received notification that you have a new staff member,” Washington allegedly texted Jackson Lee, mentioning the staff member’s name. “Call me, I have background on him.”
The staffer said he was fired in March 2018, about two weeks after he told Jackson’s chief of staff, Glenn Rushing, that he “recently learned more about his case involving Mr. Jones and the CBCF and plans to pursue legal action ” against the foundation.
The claim was dismissed in 2020.
