Himalay Dassani married ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ actress Bhagyashree in 1990. Bhagyashree belonged to a Marathi family and her parents did not support her decision to marry outside the community. According to her family, they were still too young to make such a big decision after which they decided to take a break and Himalay continued her studies, meanwhile, the actress signed her debut film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya.’

Himalay Dassani and Bhagyashree knew each other since childhood, when they studied in the same class. Bhagyashree is the class monitor, and Himalay, according to Bhagyashree, is the naughtiest kid in the class, and they often fight. Narrating his first memories with the actress, he said,

In 1987, Himalay Dassani started working as an operations manager at Hipan Kunstoffe Inc, Los Angeles. After working for almost two years in the company, he joined Cyma Dassani Marketing Private Limited as director of marketing & operations. As a world-class Foreign Trade and Agency in India at the time, CDM represented several international manufacturers of plastics, chemicals and bulk pharmaceuticals. In 1993, Himalay was hired as the marketing director of Ceeta Springs & Steels Pvt Ltd. While working there, he created a marketing network of steel leaf springs in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala and Maharashtra. With exponential growth in operations CSS decided to expand its capacity to meet the demands from their growing customer base. In 1995, Himalay Dassani obtained the position of Chief Executive Officer at Quantum Digital Vision Ltd., where he helped the firm successfully raise funds from the capital market to cover part of the factory’s development costs. An Export Oriented Unit was established as part of the growth, and the firm successfully began manufacturing and marketing its products in the European market. Later, the business expanded into television and film production, completing several popular television series and films. Himalay, in 2009, was appointed associate director of business development at Isolux Corsán, a global brand that works to develop energy, water and environmental infrastructure, roads and railways with a presence in more than 35 countries on four continents. He led the growth of the company leading the team to win many infrastructure projects – in Roads, Power Transmission. Due to the determination and hard work of Dassani and his team, the value of the company increased to over $2 billion. Since 2009, the company has increased its business and has concessions to manage four toll roads, totaling more than 700 km and raising investments of more than $2 billion. Since 2012, Himalay Dassani is the promoter of Dassani Constructions, a construction company that builds projects in cities like Pune, Indore and Mumbai.

In November 2002, Himalay began producing teleserials, including Kagaz Ki Kashti, which aired on Sahara One. Controversy
In 2019, Himalay Dassani was arrested for his links to gambling rackets. According to Amboli police station officials, Dasani was arrested from his residence and he was produced before a local court. Bhagyashree took to Twitter to tweet about her husband’s arrest and denied his role in the gambling ring, writing she was “persecuted for not succumbing to blackmail.”
