A driver fatally struck a 28-year-old Maryland man early Saturday — and was caught on camera peeling the victim’s body from his windshield two miles from the scene before taking off.
Police found Franklin Mendez on the side of the road with injuries shortly after 4 a.m., the Prince George’s County Police Department said.
After checking the doorbell camera, neighbors discovered that the driver who hit Mendez stopped, got out of his car, and peeled the slain man’s body from his windshield, Fox 5 DC reported.
Police told the outlet that Mendez was involved in an unrelated minor collision two miles away before he was hit by the suspect.
Following the first crash, Mendez was hit by another car, police said.
Instead of stopping, the suspect continued driving with Mendez leaning on his windshield.
