The TV personality’s world was recently rocked when her daughter, Hope Catherine, suffered a health scare that required medical attention. Two weeks after returning from handling a medical emergency, Kotb has taken another leave of absence.

This time, however, Hollywood life reported that it was not due to unforeseen circumstances. Instead, she spent time with her two girls on spring break. The publication also notes that Jenna Bush Hager is also on hiatus, and they have a pre-taped episode of “Hoda & Jenna” to air on the third hour of the “Today” Show.

After the 58-year-old returned for the first time on March 6, he opened up about the reasons for his previous absence. She said, “My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little over a week.”

Thankfully, she revealed that the 3-year-old is home, and the family is keeping a close eye on him. He expressed immense gratitude and joy at his recovery.

Earlier, the star’s absence from the morning show in the last week of February left viewers wondering where he was, as no explanation was given. However, The Blast shared that her co-host would state, “Hoda is out today.” Several fans took to social media to express their fear and wish the mother of two well.

Someone wonders about his whereabouts pointing out that he has been gone for a week and advises everyone to pray for him. Another was more worried about when he would return to the show. Concerned viewers wondered why the situation seemed “so secretive” and stated, “hope everything is fine.”

This fan was very troubled and asked bluntly, “Where is Hoda Kotb. Why is he out for almost 2 weeks? Please, someone, tell us if everything is ok? Or is he on vacation?”

In her absence, “World News Tonight” actor Tom Llamas and “Today 3rd Hour” co-host Craig Melvin filled in for their beloved co-star Savannah Guthrie. She was last seen before her return on a pre-taped episode of “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” which aired on February 20, while her last live performance was on the 17th.

The co-host of the popular morning show made her return to the set after an absence since February 17. Before returning, The Blast realized that he had posted a cryptic quote containing his daughter’s name.

One of the first posts he shared was a picture of a drawing of a cloud with the words “Choose Hope” written on it. Another image uploaded shortly before his return delivered an inspirational quote from the late Christopher Reeve. It reads, “Once you choose hope, anything is possible.” In the caption, she wrote, “Happy Monday xo.”

However, despite the uplifting message, the star still looked distracted alongside her co-host Savannah Guthrie who was understandably so. In an effort to lift her spirits during a segment on Girl Scout Cookies, the 51-year-old compared the Egyptian-American journalist’s pink suit to a “Raspberry Rally” cookie.

Unfortunately, Kotb looked out of sorts, and his look at the camera suggested that he was thinking, “Is this over?” Later during their conversation, the former Dateline NBC reporter, who still refuses to reveal her daughter’s illness, told Guthrie:

“You know what I realize too, Savannah, is when your child is sick, the amount of gratitude you have for the people who help you. So I thank the doctors at Weill Cornell who are wonderful and the nurses, and I thank to my family and friends like you who are there every day. So I want, I want to say thank you for that. I love you.”

The Australian native replied, “I love you too. You have a lot of friends out there.”
