It’s nothing but love and light between Hoda Kotb and Kelly Rowland; at least, that’s what the host said.
Just days after Rowland, who was set to co-host “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” with Kotb in Jenner Bush Hager’s absence, abruptly left the studio, Kotb has responded.
In her response during the show’s latest airing, the broadcast reporter explained that she has nothing but “huge love and admiration” for Rowland.

On February 15, Rowland made headlines when she left the “TODAY” studio before her presentation with Kotb.
As well as causing singer Rita Ora to step in for him at the last minute, it also sparked controversial reports that his departure was linked to dressing room issues.
The speculation has been around long enough that Kotb felt the need to address it during Tuesday’s episode of the fourth hour with him and Hager.
Being his first day back, Hager asked his co-host, “Did I miss anything?” The 59-year-old replied:
“I just want to say this. I really love and admire Kelly Rowland. I adore him, and I want him back on our show, and I want him to host again.”
“He’s welcome anytime,” Hager insisted before Kotb seemed to refer to the green room report, saying, “He can share my dressing room! We’ll be in it together! I just want to say that we love him. We’ve loved him on this show for years.”
Hager later recalled, “Remember the first time he was a guest, and we were both like, ‘Can he co-host with us?’ We adore him.”
As for the drama surrounding Rowland’s exit from the studio, after she saw the dressing room, a source claimed, “Kelly and her team are not happy. They didn’t like the dressing room, so they decided to pull it out of the show, leave [Kotb] without a guest host for 10am.”
Similarly reacting to the issue, an insider in the “TODAY” crew expressed the team’s shock at how it happened. They stated, “He’s loved on ‘Today.’ She got full time, and Hoda is the biggest hype woman on the planet! It doesn’t make sense.”

Unfortunately for Kotb, Rowland’s passing wasn’t the only dramatic event in his life this month.
As reported by The Blast, the NBC News star suffered a medical emergency while on an episode of the “TODAY” show in early February.

At the time, he told Hager, “I think I have a contact stuck in my eye here. I don’t think I took it out last night, and I can’t find it.”
The revelation prompted Hager to ask, “Is this a medical emergency?” The Oklahoma native explained, “It felt like it was there,” before confirming that he was “not kidding” about the situation. Addressing Hager and the audience, Kotb said:
“I was going to go to the eye doctor, but I didn’t have time. Maybe people have a trick [sic] how to remove it! I’m sure people have contacts that have been rolled up. If you know, can you post it on X?”
The situation escalated when the two went on a commercial vacation. Upon returning to the air, Hager announced, “We have breaking news. Hoda now lost her sight because her other contacts were cut off.”
“It looks like a bunch of colors that are ringing. This is really weird. I completely depend on you 100 percent. Not reading is not easy. I can’t read anything!” Kotb commented on his vision.
Her predicament led Hager to admit that she doesn’t like “this feeling” because she likes being partners with her co-hosts. The author added, “Let’s hope that the doctor arrives in the next few minutes and Hoda can see!”
Hager then said, “I’m going to go ahead and read, and hopefully when the health people come, we can sort this out.” The issue is finally resolved when Kotb pulls up his hood and looks down with the help of a mirror, later in the show.
