The famous journalist recently gave an update on her daughter’s recovery. The TV personality previously shared that her little one had health complications that required her to be hospitalized, including a stay in the intensive care unit.

The “Today” co-host shared an encouraging update about her 3-year-old son during the Webby Awards in New York. The star, who won Best Interview Podcast/Talk Show for “Making Space with Hoda Kotb,” revealed that the little one has made significant progress. In his words:
“Hope to do better, much better. I thought it would be a longer road, but he did his best.”
In addition to the positive news, the 58-year-old described Hope as a “happy child” and stated that her happiness is the most important thing to him. He also highlighted the support of his sister, Haley Joy.

Kotb expressed his perspective on navigating life’s curveball and emphasized the importance of counting blessings and realizing that others may be going through more complex situations. In addition, he stated:

Returning to “Today with Hoda & Jenna” in March, the Emmy Award-winning journalist opened up about her little girl’s health challenges, which she described as a “terrifying” experience.
While she didn’t reveal specific details about Hope’s diagnosis, she explained, “My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little over a week.” He went on to add:
“I’m thankful he’s home. He has returned home. I’m waiting for that day to come. We are watching it closely. I am very happy.”
Two weeks after her daughter’s health scare, the mother-of-two left her job as a presenter again, but this time for a well-deserved holiday with her two daughters.
