‘Hootie & the Blowfish’ singer Darius Rucker, who was arrested for drug possession, was reportedly busted with several types of drugs on him.
According to law enforcement, Rucker was allegedly found with marijuana and 14 unmarked purple pills, which have been identified as “psilocin.”

Country music singer Rucker was found to be in possession of various drugs after being stopped and searched by police last year in February.
According to an arrest affidavit, Rucker was stopped by police last year after they noticed that the tags on his vehicle appeared to have expired. They reportedly confirmed this using the computer in their car. The drug bust actually happened last year, but Rucker turned himself in on Thursday.
One report claims police officers smelled marijuana coming from the singer’s car and asked him if he had smoked that evening, to which Rucker quickly replied “No.” However, he allegedly stated that he might smoke early in the day, but not in the evening.
After searching his car, police claim to have found 14 unmarked purple pills and what they believe to be a THC pen. Rucker allegedly said that his girlfriend, Summer, gave him some incriminating items.
An officer then told Rucker that he was going to be patted down, which allegedly caused the country star to hand over a small blunt of marijuana from his pocket before the officer could continue.
Police confirmed that after testing 14 unmarked pills, they found they contained psilocin, a schedule I controlled substance related to magic mushrooms or psilocybin.
