Cooke joined “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for a recent interview and talked about his first day filming the “Game of Thrones” prequel. According to the actor, he was invited to a podcast hosted by Alan Carr the day before filming for “House of the Dragon” began.

The 28-year-old revealed that he took a bottle of wine as a “nod” to the British comedian’s podcast; however, he ended up overindulging himself.

“It was amazing, and I was so drunk,” Cooke said. “Very bad. I never did that. [Alan Carr has] got a podcast he invited me to be on the podcast, and I was so excited, and my call time the next day wasn’t until 11, so I brought a bottle of wine as a gesture.”

“I don’t remember going home. I remember, I put my head down to put my hair in a ponytail, it fell,” said the actress. “I woke up the next day, and I had a chip on my tooth. A very small chip, but enough for the tongue to raise. And you’re like, ‘What have I done?’ No one knew on set until now.”

At the start of the series, fans were introduced to Emily Carey as Alicent, while Alcock played Princess Rhaenyra. The actors played the characters when they were between the ages of 14 and 18 for the first five episodes of the hit HBO series.

Episode six of “House of the Dragon” features a massive 10-year time jump that sees two characters, as well as twins Laena and Laenor Velaryon, return. Cooke plays Alicent Hightower, while Emma D’Arcy now plays Rhaenyra.

Ryan Condal, co-creator of the series, conducted a roundtable interview (ex Insider) where he revealed that the decision to have two actors play the roles was reached “early on.”

“The people who are really children in this are the ones who are going to be reshaped,” Condal said. “And the grown-up people when we meet them, we age them through hair and makeup, and sometimes the actors change their voices.”

Although fans did not like the idea of changing actors, several “House of the Dragon” actors revealed that they thought the idea was “brilliant”. Matt Smith, who plays Daemon Targaryen, Rhaenyra’s uncle, joins her E! News in an interview to say that.

The actor said, “It’s brilliant, actually, because I think they’ve done a brilliant job. It gives you a completely different context for the age thing to play.” Paddy Considine, who plays King Viserys Targaryen, echoed Smith’s comments. He revealed that he “loves it” because even though they are different characters, they bring different energy.

Laena and Laenor, previously played by Savannah Steyn and Theo Nate, will be changed to Nanna Blondell and John MacMillan respectively. Episode six will also introduce Viserys and Alicent’s first child, Aegon Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney).
