The Kansas City home where three Chiefs fans froze to death in the backyard has several large windows overlooking the area where the three men died – apparently unseen by friends who were inside for days.
Property photos from inside the home show five sets of wide windows on the ground floor overlooking the backyard where the frozen bodies of three of Jordan Willis’ friends huddled for two days.
Two more windows overlook the courtyard from an upstairs bedroom, the photo shows.
Three of Willis’ friends – Clayton McGeeney, 36, David Harrington, 37, and Ricky Johnson, 38 – were found dead in the backyard by police on January 9, two days after they were last seen watching a football game at the home on January 7.
Willis initially did not respond to any messages of concern or even people who knocked on his door for answers.
Police went to the Missouri home for a welfare check after McGeeney’s fiancé finally called for help because he never came home.
When the Kansas City Police arrived they were met at the door by Willis holding a wine glass, insisting he had no idea three of his friends had died in his yard in the past two days.
But pictures from inside the house show that unless all the blinds are closed, it’s hard for Willis not to look out into the backyard.

Two sets of large windows and casement doors occupy the wall of the living room facing the backyard, and the opening from the kitchen to the living room lines up directly with the three windows.
There is also a double-wide window directly above the kitchen sink.
Around the corner from the kitchen, a room with double windows on three sides juts out from the house and peeks out into the backyard.
A set of full sliding glass doors overlook the length of the back patio, where one of the bodies was found.
Willis owns two dogs, according to a 2022 professional profile.

His attorney, John Picerno, claims the dogs were at his parents’ home when the Chiefs fan froze to death outside.
Picerno said Willis had been “sleeping on the couch” next to the loud fan for two days.
He also wore noise-canceling headphones when concerned family members came calling, the lawyer said.

The day before, however, Picerno said Willis had slept in his bedroom on January 7 and 8, leaving the room only “sporadically” and not leaving the house at all. It’s unclear if there was a couch in Willis’ bedroom.
Temperatures hovered in the 30s on Jan. 7 and 8 and several inches of snow fell in Kansas City on Jan. 9, but records from WeatherUnderground showed no significant accumulation in the neighborhood the day after the friends disappeared in the yard.
Kansas City police said they are “100%” not looking at the death as a homicide, and that Willis has been cooperative since they were involved.

“No obvious signs of foul play were observed at or near the scene,” police said in a report. “The occupants of the home cooperated with detectives on the day the deceased was found.”
Some have speculated that the group may have been sedated after mixing some type of drug with alcohol, then passed out in the cold after stepping out.
“It’s one thing for someone to have a tragic snowstorm after leaving a bar. But it’s a completely different story for three people to end up dead sitting on someone’s back porch after a party,” said Dr. Caleb Alexander, an epidemiologist in drug use and safety at Johns Hopkins University, told The Post.

“It can certainly be consistent with opioids, benzodiazepines, antihistamines, barbiturates, muscle relaxants,” he said.
The doctor added that until the toxicology report comes out, there will be no way to tell what happened to the man.
“There are dozens of potential prescription drugs that when combined with alcohol can cause a level of sedation that will eventually lead to freezing to death,” the doctor said.
