How Does Larsa Pippen Feel About Michael Jordan’s Disapproval Of Relationship With Son?

Larsa Pippen has shared her initial reaction to Michael Jordan’s disapproval of her relationship with her son, Marcus.

In case you missed it, the former pro basketball player didn’t seem to be the biggest fan of the two’s romance when asked if he was into it earlier this month. The reality star revealed how embarrassed she was after learning about the businessman’s comments, even though she was told about it beforehand.

Although Larsa and Marcus have been dating for months after first being romantically linked in September 2022, it wasn’t until this month that Michael publicly addressed the situation.

Although the legendary NBA star was initially reluctant to share his thoughts on the relationship when the paparazzi approached him as he left Matignon Paris, he eventually relented and offered an unequivocal “no!”

According to The Blast, he kept his energy up when the paparazzi asked him again if he agreed with the two’s romance, emphatically shaking his head no. Turns out, she had a conversation with her son about the interaction before it appeared online.

Responding to the comments during Monday’s episode of their “Separation Anxiety” podcast, Marcus told listeners he found the whole thing funny, claiming that his dad’s comments made him “die laughing.”

A dazed Larsa tells her man that she “doesn’t think it’s funny. There is nothing funny about it.” While he understands what the “Real Housewives of Miami” star is all about, Marcus explained that his entire family is competitive, adding:

“The Jordans, like, part of our DNA is to talk shit, you know? And it gets us going. It keeps us motivated.”

The 32-year-old stated that when he first learned of Michael’s comments, he thought the patriarch was “just messing around.” He went on to say the possibility of his father being “slight” after enjoying a few tequila shots at Matignon’s restaurant on the night of the now-viral dig. He further explained:

“So, you know, I don’t put too much pressure on him, but I know it makes you a little nervous, so when he texts and calls and obviously wants to make sure we don’t take things the wrong way. the way I think it helps you feel calmer.”

The explanation did little to calm Larsa, who admitted she was “traumatized” about people thinking she was lying about their family supporting the romance.

However, the 49-year-old accepted that while their relationship might not be weird for them, it “may be awkward” for ex-husband Scottie and Michael, who have been locked in a feud for longer than anyone can remember, with Scottie taking a jab once- time on Michael.

Luckily, the “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” guest star has gotten over the embarrassment of people calling her a liar, saying, “I feel like we’ve talked about it.” It probably also helped that Michael had “called and texted” Marcus before the story went viral to make sure the younger Jordan didn’t “take anything the wrong way.”

After publishing the article, Marcus added that his father texted him again, declaring that “he never said ‘hell no,’ and that’s not the implication.”

In a previous episode of their podcast, Larsa and Marcus discussed the possibility of them having children together. As The Blast reported last month, Marcus detailed that although “there are [mostly] become a conversation around it,” he and his partner have yet to delve into the specifics.

Echoing his point, the former college basketball star admits that these conversations come up when introducing each other to friends or meeting new people; she felt “as if we never had a private one-on-one conversation about having kids.”

Larsa supports the lack of intentionality on the topic because he believes it’s “one of those things that I think time will tell.” The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum expressed her contentment and joy as a mother of four.

That feeling, however, doesn’t stop the owner of a luxury jewelry business from noticing the differences in their parents’ experiences, admitting that their decision to have children rests largely on her man’s shoulders.
