Since the overtly sexual announcement, Blink 182 have sold out their world tour.

DeLonge posted on Instagram the crazy amount of time, or lack thereof, for the tour to sell out.

Tom DeLonge Is Surprised By The Number Of Fans

“So this little trio almost sold out worldwide in a few hours at the opening of advanced tickets… Jesus. Yes, I tripped,” he began. “Adding new shows, additional dates in the city, which were almost sold out yesterday as well… Tomorrow, the rest of the General tickets will go on sale. Please try and come ❤️. “

DeLonge warned against scalpers who get large amounts of tickets and drive up prices.

He also took a moment to thank Matt Skiba, who stepped in for DeLonge when he left the band for good in 2015.

The band first broke up in 2005 before reuniting four years later. Then in 2015, DeLonge knocked for good and the group continued with Barker, Hoppus and Skiba.

DeLonge’s message was heartfelt and sincere.

She captioned the post, “I’m sending this to Matt personally, but it’s important for the world to know that I respect him.”

Tom Pens Sincere Note To Matt Skiba

He wrote, “Hi Matt- Tom DeLonge here. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all you have done to keep the band alive and thriving in my absence. I think you are very talented (I still love listening your group to this day). You’ve always been so kind to me, not only in the press, but to other people as well. I’ve really noticed.”

DeLonge’s kind words didn’t end there.

“Emotions between the three of us overnight are always complicated, but Mark’s cancer really put things into perspective. But honestly, the group wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for your ability to jump in and save the day. So from my heart to you, thank you for being a member of our group. 🤘🏻,” he concluded.

DeLonge’s fans received his post well and praised him for recognizing Skiba.

“This is what we’ve been waiting for ❤️ hope to see Matt on stage with you one day,” commented one fan.

“Very generous. I hope Matt reads and appreciates the gesture,” replied another.

“I’m so thankful that Matt kept the band together,” said one fan. “I’m so thankful that you guys are back together!!!”

Mark’s Cancer Puts Things Into Perspective For Tom

Many others suggested Skiba join Blink 182 on the tour.

A lot has happened to each member of the group since they disbanded.

Barker was in a horrific plane crash in 2008 that killed two of the four people. He was one of two survivors.

He suffered severe burns to his body that left him in the burn unit for months, and he also had to undergo several surgeries.

Barker married Kourtney Kardashian this year.

Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in July 2021. He revealed on social media that he was undergoing treatment for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, or DLBCL, a common type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

During the Q&A he said, “My classification is stage IV-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which means, as I understand it, it has entered four parts of my body. I don’t know how exactly they define those four parts, but it has entered enough parts of my body that I’m at level IV, which I think is the highest. So, I’m level IV-A.”

In September 2021, Hoppus announced he was CANCER FREE.

“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!! Thank you God and the universe and friends and family and everyone who sends support and kindness and love,” he wrote. “Still need to be scanned every six months and it will take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in chat?”

As you can see, Blink 182 has a LOT to celebrate.
