In 2019, the AFP “scooted the world” to find experts to train Australia’s first technology sniffer dog unit to help combat the issue after the government poured $5.7 million into recruiting dogs into a crackdown on child sexual abuse.
AFP Deputy Commissioner Lesa Gale said she was “deeply concerned” about the increase in illegal online activity.
